"Don't touch anything!"
Lu Changsheng reacted with lightning speed, grabbing Shi Jingtian by the back of his collar and yanking him fiercely backward. Their figures retreated at high speed, instantly withdrawing dozens of yards away from the enormous Buddha statue.
"Ah!" Shi Jingtian staggered from the pull and nearly fell flat on his face. Steadying himself, he rubbed his painfully strangled neck and shouted in displeasure, "Junior Brother, what are you doing? You scared the hell out of me! Isn't it just a broken mirror? I was just about to grab it!"
"Brother, what's wrong?"
Lin Qingxuan and the others also came over, their faces full of confusion. "Is there... something wrong with this mirror?"
Lu Changsheng did not answer. He merely stared intently at the ancient mirror in the Buddha statue's palm, his expression grave. His instincts told him that the mirror was dangerous. If Shi Jingtian had truly touched it just now, the consequences would have been unimaginable.
"A broken mirror?" Imperial Butterfly fluttered out on crimson-gold wings, looking at Shi Jingtian with utter contempt. "You fool! If your Junior Brother hadn't pulled you back, you'd already be a pile of rocks—your body and soul destroyed, not even a scrap of bone left! Do you think you can touch whatever you want in the Sea Emperor's Cave Mansion? Do you have no brains at all?"
"What? Turn into stone?" Shi Jingtian froze, touching his bald head with disbelief written all over his face.
"Little Butterfly, quit bragging! It's just a mirror. How could it turn someone into stone? You're just trying to scare me."
"Scare you?" Imperial Butterfly planted her hands on her hips, her cheeks puffed up with anger.
"I kindly warned you, and you still don't believe me? Hmph, I shouldn't have told you at all.
