Spirit Hall maintains branch halls that register Soul Masters and distribute subsidies. Its policies provide commoner Soul Masters with paths for advancement and favorable treatment; the subsidy fund is believed to be supplied primarily by the Two Great Empires, while Spirit Hall receives the public credit. 1 2

Its headquarters in Spirit City is built around a monumental Six-Winged Angel statue and a vast complex of halls, training areas, archives, patrol routes, and restricted holy sites. 76

Under Pope Bibi Dong, Spirit Hall recruited Huo Yuhao after he assisted in the hunt for the Purple Wing Spider Emperor. In exchange for the resources necessary to develop Soul Tools, he joined the organization and relocated to Spirit City. 74 76 His mass-producible Attack and Storage Soul Tools prompted the Hall of Elders to recognize their strategic value. 85 86

The Hall of Elders ultimately established Huo Yuhao as Spirit Hall Holy Son. His title did not grant active succession to the papacy, and his Platinum Bishop-level authority to mobilize Soul Master legions required approval from both Pope Hall and the Hall of Elders. 87 90

Following the capture of Tang San and death of Tang Hao, the Upper Three Sects and Two Great Empires jointly denounced Spirit Hall and marched on Spirit City. Spirit Hall repelled the alliance with its Titled Douluo and Soul Tool-equipped defenders; the conflict ended with the Upper Three Sects’ destruction. 205 208 210 212

Later, Spirit Hall debated opening portions of its Soul Tool technology and partnering with the Star Luo Empire to construct continent-wide defensive cities against threats from other planes. Star Luo ultimately agreed to invest in Soul Tool development and expand defensive works. 357 361 362

During the Abyss invasion, Bibi Dong led Spirit Hall’s Soul Master allied forces in the defense of Douluo Continent. The organization suffered heavy losses but prevented the war from spreading across the continent. 435 442 By the planned Abyss counterattack, Huo Yuhao had become Spirit Hall’s Pope. 464
