Ancient Far North

Snow Empress and Ice Empress helped provide the soul-beast faith from which the Frost Goddess forged her divine position. In return, the goddess helped both endure a Heavenly Tribulation ahead of time and promised to protect the Far North’s soul beasts. Ice Empress considers that promise broadly fulfilled, particularly because the goddess did not hunt the region’s high-level beasts 166.

The Frost Goddess entrusted Snow Empress with the Ice Crystal Glazed Heart, an inheritance token. Snow Empress once gave it to a human who subsequently tried to use it to command the Far North’s soul beasts. She killed him and recovered the token 168.

Meeting Huo Yuhao

Snow Empress appears at Jade Ice Lake after Ice Empress releases her aura. Initially suspicious of Huo Yuhao, she questions the identity, side effects, and price of the immortal herb he offers to help Ice Empress survive her next tribulation 33 34.

During the tribulation, Snow Empress intervenes and is pierced through the abdomen by purple divine lightning, leaving hidden injuries. Ice Empress then insists on finding the Ten Thousand Year Ninth Grade Ginseng King to treat her. Snow Empress joins the expedition into the Icebound Forest despite needing to avoid fighting at full strength 35 36 37 38.

Re-cultivation and Awakening

Snow Empress later consumes the Ten Thousand Year Snow Lotus and rebuilds herself without informing Ice Empress. Huo Yuhao senses her life-threatening condition through their spiritual connection and returns to the Far North. He and Ice Empress guard the lotus for seven days until Snow Empress emerges as Little Snow Woman 89 92 93.

With her memories dormant, Snow Woman immediately clings to Huo Yuhao. She travels south with him and Ice Empress, cultivating with spiritual energy and Ten Thousand Year Profound Ice Marrow. Frost Goddess’s Inheritance

Snow Empress guides Huo Yuhao to the Frost Goddess’s inheritance temple, explaining that its entrances change and that some apparent temples are merely projections. She gives him the Ice Crystal Glazed Heart to initiate the inheritance process 166 168.

By the time Huo Yuhao leaves the Far North, she has become the goddess’s Divine Priest. Concerned about the contract’s possible effects, he asks Ice Empress to watch for unusual changes in her 176.

Icefield Gap and Romance

Snow Empress accompanies Huo Yuhao into Icefield Gap and protects him through a three-day cultivation crisis. When he wakes, he finds himself resting in her lap. During their extended stay, she shelters him from the freezing winds with her domain 277 278.

Their ambiguous attachment becomes an explicit romance when they confess their feelings and share their first kiss.
