Before long, the glamorous woman returned carrying the cocktails.
Mist Cocktail was a rather distinctive drink. It gave off a faint white mist and carried a delicate fragrance.
"Would you like anything else, sir?" the woman continued.
"Not for now." Wu Heng smiled and shook his head.
The woman glanced around at the other customers. Seeing that no new guests had entered, she sat down beside the sofa and asked with a smile, "Is this your first time here, sir?"
"Yeah, I'm not usually around this area."
"Then you must live in the Central District. You're completely different from those mercenaries," she said.
"Oh? How could you tell?" Wu Heng looked at her.
The woman leaned closer, pressing herself against him as she whispered, "Look at them—the way they talk, the way they move, even their skin. Anyone could tell you aren't a mercenary."
"Now that you mention it, I suppose that's true." Wu Heng took a sip from his glass and asked, "What's your name?"
"Beni! Does it sound nice?"
"It does. It suits you, too."
"Thank you. What about you, sir? What should I call you?"
"Rudger."
The two chatted for a while and gradually became more familiar with each other.
As if casually, Wu Heng glanced toward the stairs and asked, "What's that guy doing? I've seen him standing there the whole time."
Following his gaze, Beni spotted the bearded man standing at the stairway and softly replied, "He's a guest staying at the inn. He looks pretty scruffy, but he has money. He's been staying here for several days."
"Oh, he's wearing leather armor in a tavern. I thought he was here to keep watch."
"No, he's just an ordinary lodger. He'll be checking out in a couple of days, so no one bothers with him.
