I Lived There

At noon, Wu Heng returned to the Island Master's Manor.

After having lunch with the maids, Wu Heng selected twenty level 10 skeletons in the courtyard and brought them back to the study.

After opening the Portal, he stepped straight through it.

On the other side of the Portal was still the hotel's luxurious suite.

"Go into the inner room first," Wu Heng ordered.

The skeletons that had followed him turned around, opened the door, and entered the bedroom inside.

Wu Heng threw on a coat.

He picked up the Walkie-Talkie and said, "Qi Hancai, can you hear me?"

"I can hear you!" Qi Hancai's voice came through.

"Come to the suite."

"Received!"

Not long after he ended the call, there was a knock on the door.

Wu Heng raised his head and gave a signal. Skeleton Cassius opened the door, and Qi Hancai walked straight in with Little Owl.

"Nothing wrong?" Wu Heng asked.

Qi Hancai sat down beside him and said, "The survivors in the base are all fine. We cooked them noodles last night, and they haven't shown much resistance.

As for the people being held, they tried to kill the guard skeletons and break out in the middle of the night. The skeletons suffered no real damage, but several of the escapees were killed."

Wu Heng frowned. "With so many skeletons guarding them, they still tried to escape?"

"They might have thought the skeletons weren't as capable as they were. Oh, and Qian Chengfeng died in there," Qi Hancai answered.

Wu Heng did not say much. Dead was dead.

"Among the survivors, are there any who can operate a warship?"

"Yes. Two of them are active-duty soldiers from the warship. I was afraid something might happen, so I had them locked up separately," Qi Hancai replied.
