On the vast, boundless sea, three cargo ships flying merchant guild flags struggled onward like three lone leaves.
Behind the cargo ships, several pirate ships spread out in pursuit, relentlessly closing the distance.
The pirates clung to ropes with one hand, covering the decks, while waving weapons with the other and shouting excitedly.
Their faces were filled with the greed of an imminent harvest.
On the cargo ship.
"Captain, the pirate ships are faster than us. At this rate, they'll catch us sooner or later." The first mate hurried over, looking grim.
"Dump the cargo. Throw half of it overboard and lighten the ship." The captain gritted his teeth and gave the order.
The first mate hesitated.
The captain cursed loudly. "If you want to live, dump the cargo. Throw it behind the ship."
