He was still somewhat surprised to see her make that decision.

For Brittany to make such a promise, and in words that did not quite sound like something she would come up with herself.

Someone had most likely advised her, or something had prompted her to write him a letter and make that promise.

But he had to admit, the decision made Brittany seem more mature.

She could recognize the current situation instead of believing in those hero stories, where a casual wave of the hand would bring people flocking to follow her into adventure and battle.

"What did Brittany say?" Philippa came around, standing on tiptoe to look at the contents as well.

"Netarei City's development plans, and she wants us to help her reclaim the throne." Wu Heng handed her the letter directly.

Philippa gave it a glance and casually tossed it aside. "How are we supposed to help with this? She makes it sound like a robbery. It can't be that simple."

"She said the kingdom would be split with us, and we would govern it together."

Philippa's carefree expression froze. Then she said, word by word, "Then we have to help!"

"No rush yet, and don't go spreading this around." Wu Heng lifted his teacup and took a sip. "Is everything all right in Netarei City?"

"Nothing's wrong! The Association is stationed there, and there are so many skeletons patrolling and guarding the place. Who would come looking to die?" Philippa continued, "Tapani told you to send the newspapers over as soon as possible. And Janvito said to keep the Skill Books he lent you safe and bring them back for him when I return."

Janvito's two Skill Books were still with him.
