Lord's Mansion, Radio Room.
Wu Heng sat before the radio and recounted what had happened in Luntam City.
After he finished, Wood Elf Shanala's voice came from the other end. "It seems the First Prince learned of it earlier and ruined the Second Prince's plan."
"I think so too," Wu Heng said.
Shanala's thoughts were more or less the same as Wu Heng's.
The First Prince had learned through some channel about the plan to kill Wen Mansha, then made certain arrangements.
Shanala continued, "Maybe they both have informants planted around the other. The struggle for power within the royal family is probably only showing us the tip of the iceberg."
"Oh, and there's another piece of news. The Second Prince's supporter is very likely the Mystic Association." Wu Heng suddenly remembered this.
"The Mystic Association? Kirin Path?" Shanala blurted out.
"Right. That's what I thought too."
Kirin Path was actually easy enough to understand. It used all sorts of methods to make the people it supported become regional leaders.
Its methods included stirring up local revolutions and backing others to take power.
The methods were not fixed, but the goal was always the position of ruler.
Shanala fell silent for a moment before continuing, "Then it makes sense. The First Prince already held the advantage and had taken control of the royal capital, yet he still contacted so many religious factions. He was probably using them to oppose the Mystic Association."
"Why not report it directly to the Association?" Wu Heng asked.
If Wu Heng had been the First Prince, with such an advantage already in hand, he definitely would not have contacted those religious factions.
He would have written to the Association, then sent letters to every leader and had them keep the Mystic Association in check.
