The deity statue had hard, angular facial features, and one could see its resemblance to Wu Heng. Its eyes were lowered slightly, as if carrying an air of compassion.

The statue's left hand held an exquisite golden disc, upon which stood a flourishing tree. Its branches and leaves were lush, every twig and leaf carved in remarkable detail. Its other hand held a staff topped with a grayish-white crystal, apparently modeled after the Companion Yin Jade.

It wore a heavy robe, its folds layered like waves, with ancient runes faintly visible across it.

Wu Heng looked at the Hero Statue, surprise in his eyes.

He had seen the original design. It had been a hand-drawn sketch: the disc holding up a growing tree in the left hand and the staff with its grayish-white jade stone represented the restorative Resurrection Technique of the Necromancy School, as well as the Necromancy Spell used to transform skeletons and corpses.

The Hero Statue had captured all of it, and the result was even better than he had expected.

Shanala glanced at him and asked, "What do you think?"

"It's great. Better than I imagined," Wu Heng said directly.

Shanala smiled as well. "As long as you're satisfied. We made several revisions along the way, and this version looks the best."

"Thank you. I'm lucky to have you," Wu Heng said softly. Beneath their line of sight, he reached out and scratched her palm.

Shanala caught his finger and gave it a hard squeeze, warning him against such little tricks.

Then she asked, "Is there anything else that needs changing?"

"I think it looks great. No changes are needed," Wu Heng said as he looked at the Hero Statue.

"If there are any changes later, we can discuss them then." Shanala walked to the doorway
