History
The Jia Ma Empire was initially ruled by the Royal Family under Jia Xingtian's protection. The royal court maintained spies throughout the empire, monitoring local factions and talents such as the Xiao Family's two ten-year-old Ninth Stage Dou Qi prodigies. Jia Xingtian regarded the possibility of two future Dou Huangs emerging from a single family as a matter of national concern. 1
Yaoye was raised from childhood to become the empire's Empress. Her political education and the Royal Family's atmosphere of intrigue shaped her early interest in recruiting talented figures who could reinforce her future rule. This led her and Jia Xingtian to visit the Xiao Family, where she arranged a secret engagement with Xiao Shuang and supplied him with cultivation resources as both a personal and political investment. 2 6 7 22
The empire's conflict with the Misty Cloud Sect escalated after the sect targeted the Xiao Family. Jia Xingtian and Hai Bodong helped Xiao Yan evade the sect's pursuit and leave the empire, while Yaoye committed the Royal Family to protecting the Xiao Family because of her engagement to Xiao Shuang. 76 80
After Xiao Shuang's return, the Royal Family welcomed Jia Nan Academy's delegation to the Imperial Capital and supported the establishment of an academy recruitment office. The office and associated academy drew young cultivators from the Jia Ma Empire and neighboring states. 95 102
Following the destruction of the Misty Cloud Sect, its disciples were drafted into the Royal Family's army. With the sect gone, no remaining domestic power could openly defy the Royal Family, while Xiao Shuang—Yaoye's husband—became widely regarded as the empire's effective decision-maker. 150
The Royal Family later joined the Xiao Alliance, whose headquarters was established in the Jia Ma Empire. Under the alliance's expansion, the empire absorbed neighboring territories and became a first-rate power in the Northwest Region. 153 154 222
By Xiao Shuang's later return, the Jia Ma Empire had become the most prosperous location in the Northwest Region and the political center of the Xiao Alliance. Its territory and surrounding regions were subsequently moved into the Ice Realm. 264 277

Military and Security
- The Royal Family maintained extensive intelligence networks across the Jia Ma Empire. 1
- Yaoye prepared measures against Misty Cloud Sect disciples embedded in imperial armies before the conflict with the sect began. 136
- Black Mountain Fortress served as the empire's primary northeastern defensive position against the Three Great Empire Alliance. Its volcanic-inkstone walls were armed with Qi Breaking Arrows and Qi Breaking Crossbows. 160 161
- During the later war, Yaoye transferred most imperial forces—including incorporated former Misty Cloud Sect disciples—to Black Mountain Fortress. 161
- The Imperial City's defenses were significantly strengthened after the Xiao Alliance's growth, eventually including multiple Dou Zun experts, more than a dozen Dou Zongs, and Dou Huang guards at Xiao Shuang's palace. 264
Major Conflicts and Expansion
Conflict with the Misty Cloud Sect
The Misty Cloud Sect's rising influence threatened the Royal Family and its allied factions. The Royal Family, Mite'er Family, Mu Family, and Alchemist Guild formed a defensive alliance against the sect, while the Nalan Family initially remained neutral. 102 132
After Xiao Shuang and Xiao Yan's campaign defeated the Misty Cloud Sect, Yaoye's administration helped subdue its remaining disciples and incorporate them into the imperial military structure. 150
Three Great Empire Alliance Invasion
The Chu Yun Empire, Jin Yan Empire, and Mulan Empire formed an alliance to invade the Jia Ma Empire. The empire coordinated with the Snake People Race and the Xiao Alliance to defend Black Mountain Fortress. 160 161
After the Mulan Three Elders were assassinated and Yan Luotian was killed, the Poison Sect withdrew the Chu Yun forces, breaking the invading alliance. Yaoye then declared war on the Jin Yan Empire, beginning the Jia Ma Empire's counteroffensive. 167 172
Jia Xingtian personally led troops to conquer the Jin Yan Empire, substantially increasing the Jia Ma Empire's strength and attracting additional experts. 182
Northwest Region Growth
The Jia Ma Empire and Snake People Race later annexed several neighboring empires. Chu Yun, Jin Yan, and Mulan were absorbed into the Xiao Alliance after losing their Dou Zong-level protectors. 222 223
The alliance's territorial growth eventually reached a practical limit because it lacked a Dou Zun expert capable of establishing absolute authority throughout the Northwest Region. 223
