Background / History

Medusa first appears after finding Chen Changxin’s diary, a white-glowing “Heavenly Book” that reveals he is a transmigrator. The diary also states that she once brought him into the Snake People Clan, accepted him as her disciple, and made him the clan’s prince in name only after a chance incident involving Princess Die and Haibodong’s lover 2.

She quickly becomes entangled with the diary’s rules. When she tries to tell Xiao Qing about it, a mysterious force prevents her from saying or even substituting the word “diary” 4. She later confirms with Die that only diary holders can see each other’s copies 23.

As Chen Changxin’s master, Medusa supports his cultivation with pills, a Mysterious Tier High Grade Dou Technique called Scorching Flames, and a Spirit Douling Pill. She also encourages him to accept the title of Snake People Clan Highness and later gives him her former personal sword, the Spirit Mist Sword 9 11 22.

Her original goal is to use a Heavenly Flame to overcome the Snake People Clan’s physique bottleneck.
