"You're back—ugh, it's freezing! Why did you set the air conditioning so low? Have you lost your mind? Running the AC with an electric fireplace?"
The woman who had just stepped through the door shivered from the cold air inside. She hurriedly looked up at the man in the room and saw him sitting in the living room with an electric fireplace in front of him.
The air conditioning had brought the room down to five degrees Celsius. The woman was about to ask the Intelligent System to adjust the temperature to something comfortable, but before she could speak, she heard the man's leisurely voice.
"On Earth, today should have been the Winter Solstice. Sadly, that festival no longer exists." As he spoke, the man rose and headed into the kitchen. Before long, he brought out a large steaming bowl of dumplings and a platter of ciba. "These were probably foods people often ate during the Earth Era Winter Solstice, right? Come on, honey, give them a try and see how my handmade creations turned out!"
Instead of taking the dumplings and ciba, the woman eyed her husband suspiciously and reached out to feel his forehead. "You don't have a fever. Tell me, has your Missing Earth Syndrome flared up again?"
Missing Earth Syndrome was something the woman had made up on the spot. As she withdrew her hand and spoke, she was dressed only in thin clothes, yet she did not put on another layer despite the cold. Instead, she gathered herself for a moment and activated Overclock Mode to resist the frigid temperature.
