Well, it seemed that Space Creature was not entirely brainless. It had probably laid eggs there in advance.
Daya Civilization had told humanity that Space Creatures could lay eggs. As for the reproductive behavior of these Space Creatures, humanity had learned some of it from the footage transmitted by the destroyed Crimson Flame Civilization Probe Squad.
They clearly saw that many planets in that star system had become new nests for the Space Zerg. The planetary surfaces were covered in Zerg that looked just like that Space Creature.
From space, nearly the entire surface of those planets was covered in a dense layer of creatures resembling trilobites.
Anyone with trypophobia would have had their scalp crawl.
These Zerg were not particularly large. At first, they were only about the size of large trucks, but they grew extremely fast. As long as there was enough matter, they could grow to the size of aircraft carriers in just a few hours.
At that point, they gained the ability to venture into space and continue devouring the next planet.
