"I know the strength of the Pokémon in Silver Academy's Entrance Assessment. I want to see if you're strong enough."

Eichi immediately understood. They wanted to see how strong Beedrill was.

Eichi said, "I understand. Beedrill, come out!"

With that, he released Beedrill. The moment Beedrill emerged, it sensed several powerful auras.

Beedrill had also heard what Teacher Arno said while inside its Poké Ball.

It did not know who it would be fighting, but Beedrill was not afraid in the slightest. Its blood was already boiling, and its crimson eyes shone brightly.

Teacher Arno studied Eichi's Beedrill carefully for a while.

Teacher Arno and Eichi stood at opposite ends, and the two Pokémon prepared to battle.

Delibird

Abilities: Guts, Hustle

Hidden Ability: Insomnia

Delibird is a red, penguin-like Pokémon with a hollow tail.

Its face and chest are covered in white feathers, and it carries a white pouch with it.

It originally liked cold places, but Delibird in Alola seemed able to tolerate even somewhat hot weather.

Because it has a habit of sharing its food with humans and Pokémon, it is always searching everywhere for food.

All the information about Delibird surfaced in Eichi's mind. Eichi thought, Delibird seems to only know Drill Peck and Present. I wonder what moves Teacher Arno has taught it?

Teacher Arno said to Eichi, "Eichi, you attack first!"

Eichi nodded and ordered Beedrill, "Beedrill, use Focus Energy."

While Beedrill used Focus Energy, it would be unable to use other moves for several seconds.

Teacher Arno gave Delibird an order. "Delibird, use Hail."

Delibird spread its arms and uttered a strange syllable toward the sky. Then the surrounding weather began to turn cold.

Soon after, Hail began to fall continuously, just as Beedrill finished using Focus Energy.

Beedrill kept dodging the Hail falling from the sky, but there was too much of it, covering nearly every corner. Beedrill was still injured.

Eichi gave Beedrill an order. "Beedrill, use Agility to get close to Delibird, then use Twin Needles on it."

Upon hearing the order, Beedrill endured the Hail and used Agility to rush toward Delibird.

Seeing Beedrill charge over, Teacher Arno said, "Delibird, use Double Team."

In the blink of an eye, Beedrill arrived in front of Delibird and was just about to finish it with Twin Needles.

Delibird timed its Double Team perfectly, instantly creating three or four copies.

For the moment, Beedrill could not tell which was real and which was fake.

It could only attack them one by one. The first, second, and third were all fake.

That delayed it for a moment. During that time, Teacher Arno ordered Delibird:

"Delibird, use Ice Beam."

Delibird fired a blue beam from its mouth. Unable to dodge, Beedrill was struck directly by Ice Beam.

Beedrill cried out in pain and retreated some distance. Taking advantage of the opportunity, Eichi had Beedrill use Agility.

After Beedrill used Agility, Delibird looked left and right.

Eichi said, "Beedrill, use Pin Missile on Delibird."

Delibird turned its head and saw the five needles flying toward it. It hurriedly tried to dodge.

But it was still too slow and was struck directly by Pin Missile.

"Eek!"

It let out a miserable cry. Eichi was overjoyed and pressed the advantage. "Beedrill, keep using Pin Missile."

Seeing this, Teacher Arno immediately ordered Delibird, "Delibird, use Protect."

Delibird hurriedly pressed its hands together and formed a green screen before itself.

All the Pin Missiles were blocked.

Eichi thought, Damn, Teacher Arno is way too rich! How many moves did he teach Delibird? This is so unfair. You can't mess with a pay-to-win player!

After grumbling, Eichi had Beedrill use Twin Needles on Delibird again.

Delibird used Protect again and blocked it. Beedrill's move had been stopped once more.

Eichi's expression began to change. He forced himself to calm down.

They were now deadlocked, and the situation was extremely unfavorable for Eichi.

"Delibird, use Ice Beam!"

Delibird raised its little beak, and an icy beam sprayed from its mouth.

Eichi said expressionlessly, "Charge through the Ice Beam."

Beedrill crossed its Twin Needles in front of itself and slowly pushed forward.

Just as Beedrill was about to reach Delibird—

Teacher Arno smiled. "It's useless. Delibird, use Double Team."

With a smug expression, Delibird used Double Team, creating five copies in place.

After seeing Delibird use Double Team, Eichi finally smiled.

"I've been waiting for your Double Team."
