Background / History

Primordial World and Wuji Mountain

After tempering himself in Chaos and the Divine Path world, Wuji transformed into a top-tier Chaos Demon God and upgraded his natal Wuji Sword into a top-tier Chaos Supreme Treasure. He then returned quietly to the Primordial World and Wuji Mountain to consolidate his cultivation rather than pursue another immediate breakthrough. 303

Wuji ordered Cangjie to establish Wuji City near Wuji Mountain. Over a million years, it developed into a major Three Realms trading hub, supported by a merchant alliance and spatial teleportation arrays that allowed cultivators to travel there for large transactions. 303

As a controller of the Underworld, Wuji noticed abnormalities in Golden Cicada's reincarnation and secretly observed Tang Sanzang. He discovered Heavenly Venerable Lin Hao hiding within Tang Sanzang, defeated him, extracted his memories, and learned of a more powerful foreign world. Wuji chose to investigate that world, leaving Primordial World affairs to his clones. 311

Journey to the West

Wuji visited Sun Wukong while the latter was imprisoned beneath Five Elements Mountain. When the Five Directions Guardians attempted to bar his way, Wuji erased all five with a single fluctuation of power. 309

Shakyamuni immediately yielded after arriving, acknowledging that he could not oppose Wuji. Wuji did not immediately free Sun Wukong; instead, he told him to endure the remaining centuries of imprisonment and promised eventual release in exchange for future assistance. 310

Fengwang World and the Creation God Palace

In Fengwang World, Wuji killed Ling Tianyun and his followers after they provoked him, then received privileged treatment from Jubao Pavilion due to the pressure of his aura. 318

He entered Fengwang Hall, passed all nine trials despite his Great Daos being imperfect, and became the inheritor of Qin Feng Saint King. Wuji accepted the obligation to avenge Qin Feng in exchange for the eventual Creation Token, selected ten treasures from the inheritance, and refined chaotic mist to improve his body. 324

After joining the Creation God Palace, Wuji used its cultivation grounds, secret realms, and missions to rapidly strengthen himself. Wuji returned to the Primordial World during the Immeasurable Tribulation. When the Primordial World Heavenly Dao attacked his Ziwei Great Emperor avatar after Haotian's death, Wuji captured it effortlessly and later annihilated it. 349 350

Following the Primordial World's destruction, Wuji created the Universal Great World for its surviving forces. He assigned Ziwei Great Emperor and Tang Sanzang clones to guard it before departing with his companions for the Creation God Palace. 350

Saint God Inheritances and the Spirit Race War

Wuji entered Dao Yan Sacred God's ruins, secretly obtained the Dao Yan Sacred Pagoda, and captured the Spirit Race members left within it. He sealed their Origin Force for use in his companions' cultivation while concealing his inheritance from the other Saint Gods. 402

After tracking Spirit Race Monarch Santa through worlds stripped of life, Wuji used the Sacred Stele Spirit Slaying Sword to ambush him and alerted nearby Saint Gods to the invasion. 405
