What that boy had told each of them back then had been astonishingly identical!

"This..." Lin Jialu began to question her life.

Li Xin, on the other hand, had expected it. Her gaze was filled with indignation.

"Just as I thought, he played both of us!"

"How do I know you're not lying to me?" Lin Jialu blurted out instinctively.

Li Xin rolled her eyes in irritation.

"Do I need to lie to you about something like this?"

Ye Tian shook his head. "I rushed over as soon as I heard the bell too. I don't know what happened either."

Most of those present were knights.

Eight knights followed behind him, each already armored and carrying various weapons.

The knights saluted in unison.

"Knights, we just received a distress signal. Demons have infiltrated the territory under Haoyue City's jurisdiction. What do you think we should do?"

"Kill the demons and protect humanity!"

The resounding response echoed throughout the reception hall.

"Very good!"

Nalan Shu nodded heavily.

"Half of the knights will depart to provide support. The other half will remain in Haoyue City and be ready to reinforce us at any time. Move out!"

At his command, the knights present were divided into two groups.

Ye Tian and Li Xin were assigned to the support force.

The Haoyue Branch Hall had nearly a hundred knights, over two thousand Quasi-Knights, as well as two Earth Knights and seven Great Knights.

This time, Nalan Shu personally led five Great Knights and fifty knights to provide support and resist the Demon Race.

The other Earth Knight, Ye Hua, remained behind to guard Haoyue City.

The massive group marched out of the city.

They mounted the horses that had already been prepared and set off.

"Lin Jialu, why do you insist on coming with us?"

Sitting atop the Rose Unicorn, Li Xin could not help turning around to complain to Lin Jialu behind her.

Nalan Shu drew the long sword at his waist and roared at the demons.

"Kill!"

All the knights answered in a shout.

Facing enemies several times their number, no one felt afraid. They were filled only with fury and fighting spirit.

More than fifty people charged at once.

Led by Nalan Shu, they pierced into the enemy like a sharp blade.

Some demons were slain before they could even react.

"It's reinforcements! We're saved!"

The knights who had been desperately holding their ground heard the commotion. When they turned and saw those figures, joy flashed in their eyes.

But it was swiftly replaced by fighting spirit.

"Hold on! Kill these Demon Spawn!"

The arrival of the uninvited guests had clearly drawn the demons' attention as well.

They could attack and defend alike, while also providing enhancements to their teammates.

Ye Tian quickly came back to his senses, standing beside Li Xin with sword and shield in hand.

Lin Jialu gripped her staff and began chanting a spell.

Just then, several Wolf Demons lunged at them with all their might, their claws and fangs glinting coldly in the sunlight.

A faint glimmer flashed across Ye Tian's right-hand sword. With a swing, he cleaved the Wolf Demons apart.

A few Wolf Demons had once been exceptionally troublesome for him to handle, but now he could kill them with ease.

Li Xin was no slower. Every sweep of her blade brought forth a streak of scarlet blood.
