The Demon Race maintains a strict hierarchy in which powerful, humanoid demons hold authority over weaker races. Low-level demons are often treated as expendable, while offending a high-ranking demon can be fatal for those beneath them 233 328.

Its territory is divided into provinces, including Narike Province and Yak Province, with the Demon Capital’s Heart City located in the central region. Much of this land is barren wilderness with little vegetation or farmland 328 335.

Although demon spiritual energy generally carries a dark essence distinct from human spiritual energy, demon society has adopted aspects of human culture. Higher-ranking demons favor human cuisine and may retain captured humans with useful skills, while lower-level demons still consume raw flesh 328.

• Demon God Emperor Fengxiu — Supreme ruler of the Demon Race; personally reacts to the aura behind the Yak Demons’ destruction and resolves to eliminate the threat 338.
