Looking at the purple gel before him, Velin could not help swallowing.
"Is it poisonous?"
A smile appeared on O'dor's face as he asked in return, "What do you think?"
Seeing this, Velin took the purple gelatinous matter, closed his eyes, and swallowed it.
As the purple gelatinous matter went down, a powerful surge of magic burst forth from it and flowed into his soul.
The entire process proceeded without the slightest abnormality, as naturally as water flowing into a channel.
Seeing Velin open his eyes, O'dor asked, "How does it feel?"
"My wellspring of magic has grown a little." Velin held out his hand and condensed a ball of magic. "It's worth three days of hard cultivation for me, but I didn't feel the negative effects you mentioned."
O'dor pointed at the purple gelatinous substance floating in the air. "Eat that whole mass, and you should be able to feel the negative effects."
Looking at that large mass of purple gelatinous substance, Velin instinctively shook his head.
Eating this stuff always felt like eating poison.
"Let me demonstrate it for you."
After saying that, O'dor tapped the Magic Array at the left corner of the table.
A few minutes later, a young man approached carrying an unconscious Gray Dwarf. He tossed him onto the ground, lowered his head in salute, and said, "Teacher, my lord."
Without wasting words, O'dor seized the Gray Dwarf with a thought, awakened his consciousness, and, amid his terrified gaze, stuffed a fingernail-sized piece of purple gelatinous substance into his mouth.
After the Gray Dwarf swallowed the purple gelatinous substance, Velin stared fixedly at him, observing the negative effects.
In less than
