Velin picked up a Green-Red Fruit from the platter and placed it on the fruit plate before Hailia, teasing her with a smile. "You know this place so well. You must come here quite often."
Hailia replied quietly, "Only three or four times a year."
"Do you always come alone?"
Hailia answered, "Sometimes my brother comes with me, but if he's busy, I come alone."
"What do you usually do? I mean, when you're at home, what do you do?" Velin asked as he picked up some White Maple Gourd Seeds and began cracking them open.
"Study magic."
Velin sounded rather surprised. "I really couldn't tell. You're actually a mage?"
"Only a Mage Apprentice. I'm still working hard to learn." Hailia lowered her head slightly and replied softly.
"What level are you at?"
"Mid-rank Mage Apprentice."
As if she found it hard to say, Hailia's face instantly flushed red after answering.
Seeing Hailia's face turn red again, Velin could not help teasing her. "Haha, then you really do need to work hard."
"I will." Hailia lowered her head even further, trying to make herself less noticeable.
"What's that over there?"
Hailia raised her head and followed the direction of Velin's finger. "That's blue weave grass, a plant that glows at night. It's very beautiful."
"Not shy anymore?"
Hearing that, Hailia wanted to lower her head again, but Velin stopped her this time.
"Tell me, who did you learn magic from?"
"At first, it was Sister Molis, a High-rank Bronze Elemental Mage. After teaching me for three years, she broke through to become a Silver mage and went off traveling."
"Then there was Aunt Luna, a Low-rank Silver Arcanist. After teaching me for five years, she gained some insight and left as well."
"Now it's Teacher Annorah. I don't know how
