"Brick, if you don't speak, no one will think you're dead." Talia answered with a smile, her words as cold as ice.
"Damn blackskin, I'll lock you up with the filthiest gnomes."
The Gray Dwarf cursed without pause until the Evil Eye Legion Commander intervened and put an end to the argument.
"The Shadow Hunter Spider Demon may appear, but you, Talia, cannot control it." The Great Evil Eye spoke word by word.
Talia said with a sweet smile, "Evil Eye, I can refrain from controlling the Shadow Hunter Spider Demon, but who will control it instead?"
The other five stared coldly at Talia, and no one answered.
They had been enemies from the start and had only come together because of an external threat. There was no real unity between them; each was wary of the others.
"When war begins, sacrifice. Shadow Hunter Spider Demon must perish with enemy." The Evil Eye said haltingly.
"Fine, but we need to choose a place for the sacrifice. Otherwise, there won't be enough time." Talia looked at the seventeen Silver High-Tier city-state leaders, her meaning unmistakable.
"Agreed."
The Evil Eye nodded, and a Caveman city lord died on the spot.
The other sixteen creatures all breathed sighs of relief. Fortunately, it had not been their own city-states that were chosen.
"Discuss troops." The Evil Eye Legion Commander ignored the death of an insignificant ant and continued, "Evil Eye Legion sends three hundred: fifty Evil Eye generals, two hundred fifty Evil Eye soldiers."
"Moray City will send one thousand Dark Elf soldiers, fifty spider demons, one hundred priests, and four thousand slave soldiers."
"Bri City will send two thousand Gray Dwarf soldiers, two hundred Earth Lizard Knights, and three thousand slave soldiers." Brick the Gray Dwarf followed by reporting his forces.
