At the open-air square of the military camp, Velin hosted more than a dozen nobles who had come upon hearing of him. They had all been brought by Rassel, commander of the 134th Legion, and hailed from Xylos Province.
Among them were three earls and thirteen viscounts, with Rassel clearly at their head.
After learning more, Velin had basically figured out that most of these nobles' territories lay in the northwestern part of Xylos Province, bordering Cadro Province.
Their purpose in visiting him as a group was obvious: they wished to establish trade with him.
In the past, Cadro Province had been known as the kingdom's weakest province and had practically no foreign trade partners.
After all, what unusual resources could Cadro Province possess when its highest-ranking nobles were merely viscounts?

Viscount Moncas and the others were no longer surprised by the absurd sight of an earl expressing respect to a viscount. They all firmly believed that their legion commander's achievements would never end here. This was merely the beginning.
