Ten kilometers east of North Forest City, Velin and Kyle landed in the center of a small town.
This place was only three kilometers from the military camp and sat within a valley. Since its residents had fled because of the war, it had been repurposed as the logistical base of the Fifteenth Army.
"Lord Velin, Lord Kyle, welcome." A Bald Priest holding a priest's staff stepped forward, placed his right hand over his chest, and bowed.
Velin gestured for him to rise and asked, "Yaden, where is your master?"
"Lord Velin, my master took Carlisle and the others up the mountain to cut timber and gather stone. They are preparing to build a Life Church in this small town," the Bald Priest reported truthfully.
"You should get back to your work."
"Yes."
After parting ways with Yaden, Velin and Kyle wandered around the town.
Leaving the town center, they saw priests leading members of the Holy Crusaders in leveling the ground.
Before they knew it, they had left the town and arrived at the farmland.
Looking at the three-meter-tall crops, Velin still felt shocked—and somewhat regretful—no matter how many times he saw them.
He pinched one of the broad leaves and sensed the dense life force within. It was expected to mature in six months.
"If these crops could be brought back to the Ilia Kingdom for cultivation, how many people do you think they could feed?" Velin released the leaf and turned to Kyle curiously.
Hearing that, Kyle shook his head. "My lord, crops like these could never appear in our world."
"That's true. The Bottom Layer Rules are the foundation of a world's existence. In Ilaria World, ordinary crops have a limit to how tall they can grow."
