"Spread out!"
"Run!"
"Don't run, everyone! Let this old veteran run first."
"..."
All sorts of voices clashed together; with several thousand people, there were several thousand different cries.
Everyone scrambled to flee, not daring to confront the Nine-Seal Magical Beast Mountain-Moving Eagle head-on.
Watching the humans scatter in all directions, the Mountain-Moving Eagle could not help letting out a piercing screech, radiating majestic authority.
"Quiet."
Kyle's whisper sounded beside her ear. Frightened, the Mountain-Moving Eagle immediately stopped crying out, landed steadily on the ground, and laid her wings flat as stairs for the two men.
"Kyle, look how badly you scared her." Velin glanced at the terrified Mountain-Moving Eagle and teased him with a smile.
Kyle gave the Mountain-Moving Eagle a sidelong look and replied indifferently, "If she cannot even qualify as a mount, then she can only become ingredients."
"Hahaha, forget using her as ingredients. She has followed us for several months, after all."
Hearing the black-haired human's voice, the Mountain-Moving Eagle could not help feeling grateful. But his next sentence left her utterly petrified.
"When we return, bring along her entire family and raise them in the Demiplane. They may come in handy someday."
"Master, do you remember those four Shadow Wolves?"
Velin replied curiously, "Of course I remember. Aren't they being raised in Cecilia's Demiplane?"
"But have you ever used them?" Kyle stared at Velin and asked a soul-searching question.
"Uh—"
At those words, Velin froze. Other than riding the four Shadow Wolves when they had first captured them, he seemed never to have used them again.
Coming back to his senses, Velin waved his hand and said gently, "All right, all right. Even if I cannot use them, others can. Besides, those magical beasts are free-range; I do not need to provide their rations."
"Fine."
