As the light faded, a magnificent ancient ruin appeared before them.
Darkness shrouded everything on both sides of the Teleportation Array.
Catherine raised her hand, her fingertips trembling slightly. A dazzling beam of light burst from her palm, dispelling the still darkness around them and illuminating the entire ancient ruin.
Velin looked around. The light fell upon the strange scenes carved into the stone walls, reflecting a dim golden radiance.
In the distance, a shattered altar could vaguely be seen, covered in corroded silver runes that faintly emanated weak magic.
Come to think of it, he had already encountered ruins of the Zesita Kingdom twice before.
The first time had been during the Seven Years' War between the kingdom and the Dwarves, when he had entered that mysterious place based on clues provided by his granduncle.
The second time had been after leaving Cecilia's Demiplane, when he had happened upon a deserted island during his travels and discovered the mysterious gateway his uncle-in-law had opened.
This was the third time. It seemed he truly had a connection with the Zesita Kingdom. As for whether they were destined for each other, that would have to wait until after the exploration.
"Velin, go on."
Velin looked around and said humbly, "My lady, then I'll take a casual look around first."
"Mm."
After Catherine nodded, Velin took Kyle deeper into the ruins and began examining the Ancient Ruins.
Kyle and Lester followed suit, stepping down from the Teleportation Array and each choosing a direction to explore.
Watching Velin's retreating figure, Clyster fell into thought. After a moment, he turned to his student and said, "Bluer, you should go as well."
