Arc 21The Fall of the Kage

Kaze defeated the allied forces at Sunagakure, then pursued Nagato and faced Akatsuki’s attempt to trap him. He tore out Nagato’s Rinnegan and used Red Thought to kill Itachi and leave Obito gravely injured.

  • Kaze killed Mei Terumi, Akatsuchi, and Rasa, then defeated Gaara and overwhelmed the Sunagakure and Kirigakure forces with Rasa’s Gold Dust.
  • Black Zetsu brought Akatsuki to the battlefield, while Sasuke fought Itachi and drove him away before Itachi recovered with White Zetsu’s help.
  • Obito and Itachi planned to use Izanami and Izanagi to hold Kaze in place for Ōnoki’s Dust Release, but Kaze overheard them through Mind Net.

Arc 22Madara’s Defeat and the Prophecy

Kaze defeated Madara Uchiha, captured Sunagakure, and set plans in motion to unify the Shinobi World. A prophecy about Tama and an enemy from across the sea prompted Kaze to prepare Konoha, while Orochimaru showed him new hybrid rice and agreed to study the Rinnegan.

  • Kaze offered Nagato and Konan a place in Konoha, but Nagato refused, and Kaze killed Ōnoki while Red Thought defeated the Stone Ninja.

Kaze revived Hashirama, Tobirama, and Kushina, then proved his strength to Hashirama and revealed his plans to unify the Shinobi World against a coming dimensional threat. As old ties were restored and Minato pressed the Land of Wind to surrender, Iwagakure began considering terms rather than resisting Konoha.

  • Kaze told Orochimaru about the merging dimensions and the danger from beyond their world, then asked him to revive Hashirama, Tobirama, and Kushina.
