Arc 25The Land of Fire Revealed

Tobirama learned about the Pirate World from Orick while Garp’s Marines discovered the Land of Fire and clashed with its defenders. After Hashirama fought Garp and Kuzan, Kaze arrived and took over the battle, ending the stretch as Susanoo struck at Kuzan.

  • Tobirama forced Orick to explain the Pirate World, the Celestial Dragons, and Dragon’s Revolutionary Army, then reported the information to Kaze and brought Orick’s crew toward the Land of Fire.
  • Garp led Marines into the newly discovered island, where Hizashi challenged him and Hashirama joined the fight after Garp overwhelmed Hizashi.
  • Hashirama and Garp fought through Sage Mode and the Thousand-Armed Buddha until both were exhausted, and Hashirama restrained the Marines while asking about their mission.
  • Kuzan arrived, froze Hizashi, and fought Hashirama, who struck Kuzan with a Genjutsu-assisted attack before collapsing from exhaustion.
  • Kaze arrived, restored some of Hashirama’s strength, rejected Garp’s plan to establish a Marine branch, and fought Kuzan with lightning and Armament Haki.

Arc 26Kaze and the Marines

Kaze defeated Garp and Kuzan, then held the Marines in custody while seeking information about the outside world. After Tama returned with a meteor-summoning blade and Kaze destroyed its meteor, he used Kotoamatsukami to recruit Kuzan into a secret effort against the World Government and Celestial Dragons.

  • Kaze defeated Garp and Kuzan in battle, then brought the unconscious Kuzan and captured Marines to the Leaf Village for medical care and questioning.
  • Kaze offered to release the Marines in exchange for Garp’s information about the Grand Line, while Black Zetsu secretly planned to exploit the Marines’ arrival.
  • Kaze learned that Tama had returned with the Flowing Light Meteorite Blade, then destroyed the meteor it summoned before it could harm the village.
  • Kaze tested the blade again before gathered shinobi, demonstrating that it could summon another meteor and destroying that one with Susanoo.

Arc 27The Impel Down Raid

Kaze traded information with Garp, then Garp stayed in Konoha to learn the Eight Gates while Kaze headed to Impel Down. Kaze broke into the prison, recruited Buggy, and challenged Douglas Barrett, ending with Barrett restrained by Susanoo as Kaze drew Enma.

  • Garp traded Grand Line intelligence to Kaze for the Marines’ release, then returned to the Land of Fire and agreed to train in the Eight Gates with Might Guy.
  • Sasuke fought Garp, awakening his Mangekyō Sharingan and Susanoo before exhausting his Chakra and collapsing.
  • Kaze left Konoha for Impel Down as Sengoku focused Marineford on Ace’s execution and the coming battle with the Whitebeard Pirates.
