Lu Li relayed Valkyrie's words to the team's Public Channel, then asked in confusion, "Why go through so much trouble? And why are they targeting your family? What do they gain from it?"

Lu Li personally could not understand such methods. If they wanted revenge against an enemy, they should not have gone so far out of their way to seek out that person's native relatives in some world.

Valkyrie fell silent for a moment and shook her head.

"No? What do you mean?"

Lu Li was puzzled.

"I don't know either."

Valkyrie looked at Lu Li expressionlessly. She did not seem to be lying.

That only made Lu Li more confused. "This is your family's world. You don't know?"

"It's not my world."

Valkyrie rarely rolled her eyes, reducing the killing intent and chill around her by a third. "I only know that my ancestors made great contributions. Some people are grateful, while others hold grudges. That's normal enough."

"What counts as a great contribution in the Space?"

Lu Li felt that the ancestor Valkyrie mentioned was probably her grandfather, and he was curious. What he really wanted to know was the Space's purpose in cultivating Explorers, which was also what Aizen was curious about.

"Breaking Through the World and collecting world energy for the Space are merely the Explorers' daily work. As for what truly counts as a great contribution, I don't know either."

Valkyrie's answer surprised Lu Li. "Too much time has passed. There's no way to verify it."
