Manifestations
End Space first addresses Lu Li as a low female voice in darkness, accompanied by faint blue floating text and a translucent status interface 2.
- Its First-Tier Area is a sunlit, vine-covered settlement inhabited by Explorers and Supporters 35.
- Its Reinforcement Hall uses giant Man-Eating Flowers, which envelop Explorers while they allocate attributes through a mental menu 36.
- Its upper levels include a massive vine in the World Sea; after Lu Li's return from Origin Space, the vine physically waved away the fading teleportation light 1151.
- It communicates through notifications, mission interfaces, item evaluations, settlement screens, and direct responses to spoken or mental requests 2 73 441.
History
Recruitment of Lu Li
End Space contacted Lu Li after his execution-site escape, calling him an “Explorer” and claiming that he had reached the end of his original world and received new life. It offered him a contract to enter other worlds, complete missions, earn World Exploration Progress, and receive rewards based on performance 2.
Lu Li accepted after learning that he would need to survive a Trial World before becoming an official Explorer. When he asked what would happen if he died during the trial, End Space answered: “Then you die” 2.
It deployed him into the Shinigami Trial World, supplied a world overview and mission interface, granted the local common language for free, and warned that disclosing End Space information would result in erasure 2.
Pioneer Contract
After Lu Li completed the Trial World, End Space provided him with a private room and settlement rewards, then offered him the Pioneer Contract 34 35.
A Pioneer is selected to conquer worlds not yet synchronized with End Space. The contract grants greater authority and access to a Glory Shop, but requires Pioneers to accept higher-difficulty worlds, participate in Space mobilizations during wars, and sometimes act as Adjudicators against rule-breaking Explorers 35.
Lu Li signed the contract, becoming Pioneer 008; his Explorer Mark changed to deep purple 35.
Expansion and Unification
End Space repeatedly assigned Lu Li to retrieve World Cores, Origin Seeds, Spirit Seeds, and other resources from Derivative and Native Worlds. After the Kengan Ashura world's absorption, it gave Lu Li exclusive paid access to revisit it and paid him 14,000 Doomsday Coins in monthly resource income as the Seed of Origin's owner 73.
By the Eighth-Order World Contests, End Space openly used Lu Li's reputation as a deterrent. It declared war on all other major Spaces while listing only Lu Li as its deployment, prompting each rival Space—including Paradise—to surrender before battle 1071.
End Space later merged into Origin Space amid a broader unification effort against external threats. It did not cease to exist; an Origin-version AI served Lu Li after the merger 1172. Thirty million years later, the Nine Great Spaces and Paradise were unified with End Space as the main entity 1183.
Functions and Policies
Contracts and Explorer Administration
- Recruits people as Explorers, sends them to Trial Worlds, and determines later contract benefits from their performance 2.
- Assigns personal rooms that are absolutely safe from unauthorized entry; room expansion and special furnishings require Doomsday Coins 34.
- Raises Pioneer Mark authority by one rank and opens the Pioneer-exclusive Glory Shop, which uses Pioneer Merit Points 35.
- Requires Pioneers to join Space Wars when mobilized; immunity items do not override this obligation 35.
- Can appoint Pioneers as Adjudicators when same-rank Adjudicators repeatedly fail to eliminate rule-breakers 35.
- Evaluates transferred individuals before recruitment. When Lu Li used an Intermediate Transference Contract on Sōsuke Aizen, End Space assessed Aizen's strength and favorability, obtained his consent, then arranged recruitment and a separate contract assessment 700.
- Retains a trace of an Explorer's True Soul as an imprint, allowing it to punish contracted Explorers through origin power 1151.
World Deployment
- Supplies world introductions, difficulty estimates, mission objectives, and basic system functions upon deployment 2.
- Freely grants local common-language mastery in applicable mission worlds and World Wars 2 408.
- Calculates possible starting identities based on an Explorer's strength, titles, combat style, and circumstances 79 905.
- Issues Native World missions dynamically according to a Pioneer's identity, status, wealth, and personal strength within that world 905.
- Can deploy a Pioneer alone through unconventional means when they use a World Positioning Item 443.
- Does not indiscriminately send Explorers into worlds with Supreme Taboo-level inhabitants; such worlds are normally treated as having diplomatic rights and are approached through negotiation first 1167.
Enhancement, Treatment, and Economy
- Provides Free Attribute Point allocation through the Reinforcement Hall's Man-Eating Flowers 36.
- Supports bloodline awakenings, title upgrades, skill learning, equipment enhancement, and Spirit Seed integration 37 73 294.
- Offers combat-assistance information, including damage reports and Strength judgments during clashes 73.
- Provides interest-free one-month loans to Explorers with excellent credit records 441.
- Treats hidden injuries for a Doomsday Coin fee; Lu Li's post–One-Punch Man treatment cost 1,960,000 Doomsday Coins 795.
- Requires items in Explorer storage to be authenticated before a subsequent mission world, or it will recycle them 439.
- Pays income to qualified World Core or Seed holders whose worlds generate resources for the Space 73 522 825.
World Acquisition and Conflict
- Sends Pioneers to conquer unsynchronized worlds for End Space's absorption 35.
- Uses World Cores as a central requirement for world acquisition and assimilation 210 525.
- Organizes World Wars and World Scrambles against rival Spaces, including special rules, faction selection rights, point systems, and shared broadcast channels 408 525.
- Won a World War against God Realm Space without deployment after the opposing Space surrendered rather than face Lu Li alone 210.
- Jointly participates in the annual Space Rumble, an event organized by the Nine Great Spaces and supervised by the Spirit Void Hall 580.
Enforcement
- Forbids disclosure of End Space information “in any form”; violations result in obliteration 2 905.
- Warns Explorers against irregular behavior, including repeatedly farming chest drops from the same target type 993.
- Regulates post-mortem loot: an Explorer's equipped items return to storage upon death, while a dropped Doomed Chest can transfer stored items to the victor 97.
Relationships
- Lu Li / Pioneer 008 — Recruited him after his execution, elevated him to Pioneer status after his Trial World, assigned him high-risk missions, and later offered him an exceptionally favorable new contract with minimal restrictions 2 35 1151.
- Sōsuke Aizen — Recruited Aizen after Lu Li invoked an Intermediate Transference Contract; Aizen subsequently received his own room and renegotiated contract within End Space 700 747.
- Supporters — Failed Explorers may become Supporters rather than remain active mission participants; they perform production, crafting, mining, gathering, and other support work inside End Space 36 1070.
- Origin Space — Merged with End Space during the Spaces' unification, after which an Origin-version AI acted in End Space's place 1172.
- Other major Spaces and Paradise — Competitors in World Wars and World Scrambles; they later unified under End Space as the main entity 210 525 1071 1183.
Trivia
- End Space refers to Lu Li as both Explorer No. 404040404 and Pioneer 008 at different stages of his contract 3 36.
- Its item evaluations can be sarcastic or mocking, including assessments of Lu Li's equipment choices 124 401 944.
- It can adjust or disguise an Explorer's identity to fit a mission world, such as assigning Shinigami or Hollow identities in the Shinigami world 292.
