"What familiar smell?"
Lu Li even raised his arm and sniffed his sleeve. He had washed up before going out, and with a Constitution at his level, he shouldn't have been giving off any strange odors.
Chuchu's big, watery eyes swept up and down Lu Li's body. After leaning closer, her delicate nose twitched as she sniffed again, and her gaze turned somewhat strange. "It smells like some kind of perfume."
Lu Li was baffled. "Stop joking. Why would a grown man like me wear perfume?"
"No, this scent really is familiar. I think I've smelled it on someone before..."
But Chuchu did not let the subject go. She paced back and forth inside the house, then seemed to recall something. "Have you met Valkyrie?"
Lu Li thought, That's uncanny. "You could smell that? Are you a bloodhound or something?"
He wondered how there could still be a scent on him after being teleported back by the Space, enhancing his talents and Bloodline, healing his body, and taking a bath. Why couldn't he smell it himself?
Chuchu rolled her pretty eyes. "I just find it strange that you smell like her. She doesn't wear perfume, so the two of you must have..."
She stopped there, realizing she seemed to have said too much.
"Must have what?"
Completely oblivious, Lu Li leaned closer and asked, "By the way, as a Supporter, do you get chances to meet Hunters from other Spaces?"
Knowing she had misspoken, Chuchu hurriedly turned away. "I... I only happened to see her once while mining. Let's talk business. What did you come here for?"
Lu Li could tell that Chuchu was clearly flustered. After all, she had known from the start that he had come to commission equipment. Still, Lu Li had no intention of exposing her.
