Qiu'er spent ten thousand years living beside a waterfall in the Star Dou Great Forest. As the forest's Three-Eyed Golden Lion, she carried its power of fortune and was revered by its soul beasts, though she lacked biological parents and longed for familial affection. Bi Ji became her closest caretaker and maternal figure. 185 384 387

Before openly meeting Xue Xiao Ran, Qiu'er had watched aspects of his life through their unusual connection. When her Eye of Destiny met his, a portion of her destiny power entered him, making the two of them jointly tied to the Star Dou Great Forest's fortune: if either died, the forest would lose half of that fortune. 169 184 186

She adopted a human form and introduced herself as Qiu'er, choosing the name because Xue Xiao Ran liked winter. Though aware of his feelings for Wang Dong'er, she directly declared her intention to pursue him and remain at his side. 184 185 221
