"Take a look at this before consummating the marriage. After all, there are still some differences between humans and merfolk."
The Sea Princess gave Jiang Ming a meaningful look, then had two mermaid attendants lead him to Liya's bedchamber.
As for herself, she continued making arrangements for Jiang Ming and Liya's wedding.
Jiang Ming and Liya were to marry within the tribe tomorrow, so the ceremony absolutely could not lack grandeur.
After all, Liya was the Princess of the Merfolk Tribe!
Moreover, Jiang Ming's strength had already reached the pinnacle of human Soul Masters. The ceremony could not be lacking in any regard.
Jiang Ming was led toward Liya's bedchamber by the two mermaid attendants. Though they were supposedly leading him, neither attendant could actually pull him; they merely walked on either side of him to guide the way.
Jiang Ming glanced at the attendants beside him, then picked up the item the Sea Princess had just given him.
It was a seashell.
Although the upper bodies of merfolk resembled humans, they were still Soul Beasts—Soul Beasts that lived in the Ice Sea. Naturally, their inheritance of writing differed from that of humans.
And seashells, being so widespread in the ocean, were quite useful for recording certain things.
Jiang Ming looked at the shell in his hand.
It was larger than his palm and hard in texture. It was presumably an old shell that had existed for hundreds or thousands of years. Its surface bore exquisite patterns, and if used as decoration, it could fetch a fine price in the human world.
But in the ocean, it served much the same purpose as paper did in the human world.
And what was recorded upon it...
Were two merfolk.
As Soul Beasts, merfolk did not share humanity's habit of wearing clothes.
