Shrek Academy is recognized across the Douluo Continent as its number one Soul Master academy, with ten thousand years of heritage. Its research into Martial Souls and Soul Beasts is described as the continent’s most comprehensive, exceeding even the Sun Moon Empire’s expertise in those fields. 129

The academy’s legacy includes the First Generation Shrek Seven Devils, who reached the realm of gods ten thousand years earlier. Their achievement remains a benchmark for later generations. 135 672

Shrek maintains political neutrality among the Three Great Empires, a policy credited as a key reason for its long survival and prosperity. It does not favor students or staff based on nationality, though it historically united powerful graduates to resist the Sun Moon Empire’s invasion of the Douluo Continent. 376 817 945

Shrek City was established because the academy could not remain wholly isolated while still needing resources, trade, and contact with the outside world. A Sea God Pavilion order also prohibits external forces from interfering in the area surrounding the academy, preventing major powers from competing directly for its graduates and influence. 836
