As the tournament continued without him and Ma Xiaotao, Jiang Ming used Little Ice to draw Ma Xiaotao’s uncontrollable Evil Fire into himself, and they awoke after the ordeal with her clothes torn.

• Jiang Ming defeated Zhang Lexuan’s team with his six Spirits, then revealed that his Golden Heart Martial Soul was only a fraction of his strength and showed the team his soul tools.
• Zhang Lexuan briefed the team on the Undying Legion, and Jiang Ming recognized the Corpse Qi around a mountain as evidence that the reported enemy numbers were wrong.
• Jiang Ming persuaded the team to continue the mission, then flew with Zhang Lexuan to confront the Evil Soul Master while the others held off the Zombies.
• Jiang Ming and Zhang Lexuan fought the Undying Legion Leader in a cave, and Jiang Ming found his feet were the enemy’s weakness before helping kill him outside the cave.

Jiang Ming helped reshape Shrek Academy through Soul Tool production and freshman military training while deepening his relationship with Zhang Lexuan. Stuck at the Level Seventy bottleneck, he left the academy to seek a breakthrough and began his journey by escorting Lu Yue’s caravan toward Heaven Dou City.

• Jiang Ming presented the Soul Tool Department’s five-year plan to the Sea God Pavilion Elders, who approved mass production and sales to fund further research.
• Jiang Ming absorbed the Undying Legion Leader’s Head Soul Bone, cleared the evil Spiritual Power from his Sea of Consciousness, and grew closer to Zhang Lexuan while leaving their relationship undefined.
• Jiang Ming helped Yan Shaozhe devise reforms for the Martial Soul Department and a military training program for freshmen.

Jiang Ming reached the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, where the Immortal Herbs and his Spirits helped him gain new powers and evolve several Spirits. He returned to Shrek Academy with his bottleneck still unbroken, while the elders began arranging the resources needed for his remaining evolutions and Yan Shaozhe told him Lexuan had returned.

• Jiang Ming bought the Jade Scale Seven Absolute Flower at auction, then followed its trail through Sunset Forest’s poisonous mists to the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well.
• Jiang Ming met Youyou and the other Immortal Herbs, whose life force helped his Spirits cultivate and whose medicinal power fused Rongrong into his Golden Heart, granting him a Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Ring and a torso Spirit Bone.
• Little Ice and Little Lotus evolved to the Hundred-Thousand-Year level, while Jiang Ming endured the springs’ power to gain an Indestructible Body and immunity to all poisons.
• Jiang Ming chose medicinal gifts for Ma Xiaotao and Gongyang Mo, waited as Little Spirit completed its evolution, and remembered to retrieve the Ice Silkworm from the Cold Spring before leaving.

Jiang Ming helped Ma Xiaotao purify her Martial Soul, evolved Little Wind, and absorbed the Wind-Thunder Prison Beast’s Soul Ring while surviving its heavenly tribulation. After returning to Shrek Academy and reuniting with Zhang Lexuan, he rushed to the Star Dou Great Forest when she was attacked, where Di Tian confronted him before Mu En intervened.

• Jiang Ming reunited with Zhang Lexuan, then purified Ma Xiaotao’s Evil Fire and refined her Martial Soul into a pure Fire Phoenix.
• Jiang Ming trained his teammates, crafted Rank 7 Soul Tools, and traveled with Xuan Zi to Thousand-Blade Cliff, where Little Wind evolved into a Hundred-Thousand-Year Spirit.
