"Pablo" walked toward the captain's quarters, then suddenly stopped and looked toward the Warrior wearing a longsword at his waist.

He was like a collapsed rift, devouring everything around him.

"Pablo's" eyes flickered in alternation, and only after more than ten seconds did he step forward again.

He avoided the repulsive Vespid and looked toward the member of the Honor Guard.

"I want to see the lord."

"Come in." The low voice seemed to issue from a deep well, pouring into "Pablo's" ears.

He looked toward Per Koschelny behind the desk piled high with Data Slates.

Per was draped in a black robe and sat upright in his chair, yet he was taller than him, and far more imposing.

Per raised his head, his obsidian-like eyes falling on him.

"Pablo's" body trembled, and he almost dropped to his knees.

He hesitated no longer and, obeying his instincts, removed a glass sphere the size of an Astartes palm from his waist.

"Pablo" gently placed the glass sphere on the desk. "My lord."

"The Alpha who infiltrated the Legion delivered this into my hands.

"I received a secret message. Father ordered me to smash it onto the ground like a grenade when I accompany you to meet Lord Nimrod."

Per stared at the glass sphere. It was filled with swirling yellow-green gas around a small, thin hand with seven fingers and no thumb.

"What is it?"

"Pablo" shook his head. "My lord, I don't know."

"My guess is that Father intends to use it against Lord Nimrod."

"If my guess is correct, then it is very dangerous."

Per nodded, acknowledging his judgment, then shook his head.

"It may be able to threaten a Primarch, but it cannot harm
