The "Hermit" pathway focused on observation, peering into the secrets of fate.
The Sequence 2 "Seer" of the "Wheel of Fortune" pathway could grasp part of fate's authority, encompassing not only precognition, but also good fortune and misfortune.
He was more specialized in divination and fate.
Covering both fate and divination also served as double insurance.
Curze had always suffered under the torment of visions. Making him a "Sleepless," and then a "Dream Demon" unable to distinguish dreams from reality, would be far too cruel.

As Nimrod pondered, a transparent potion containing seven-colored aurora appeared out of thin air in his right palm.

He knew that Barbaroth and First Company Captain Jago Sevatarion had always selectively carried out Curze's contradictory orders. They did not want their Primarch's inscrutable madness to drag the Legion into the Abyss.
