The Darkwing Storm Eagle had just arrived above Balthasar Quturi's residence when Corvas Corax pulled open the hatch.

Blinding exhaust flames burst from his wings as he leaped from the hatch.

His boots smashed into the ground, and Corax's Lightning Claws shrieked.

Amid a piercing shriek, the claws tore through the wall.

Flickering ghostly light illuminated Corax's pale face. "Balthasar Quturi, you have been pardoned."

The former Chief Librarian stepped out of his confined residence and looked skyward. Torrents of plasma swept overhead, heading straight for Raven's Gaze.

Corax fixed his dark eyes on Balthasar. "I need you."

Balthasar knew that Corax had discovered that senior commander Solaro was Alpha, but it was already too late.

"Father, I cannot find every Alpha who has infiltrated the Legion."

"Do what you can." Corax spread his wings and shot into the sky.

Balthasar drew his Force Staff and strode toward Raven's Gaze.

He had to fulfill the Black Emperor's oracle.

Balthasar climbed over the rubble, sending out ripples of Psionic Energy to probe the surrounding environment.

His gaze sharpened as he looked toward eleven o'clock.

Two groups of Raven Guard wearing the same colors and identical paint schemes fired at one another.

The "Baron of Corruption" immediately activated Spirit Sight. From his previous encounters, he had already worked out how to distinguish friend from foe when both sides looked identical.

Fiery red rage and calm blue entered his vision.

Balthasar raised his Force Staff, and psionic flames erupted from thin air, engulfing one squad of "Raven Guard."
