Santiago Bergkamp walked toward the teleportation platform he had built with his own hands.

The platform floor was a fragment of a Saim-Hann Craftworld bestowed by the Black Emperor, cut and polished bit by bit by the Librarians Santiago led and taught.

The members who operated and maintained the platform were not Tech-Priests, Tech Sergeants, and the like, as in most Legions, but the Chapter's Librarians.

The moment Santiago stepped onto the teleportation platform, he naturally passed through an invisible gate, and stars shrouded his entire body.

Ever since he had advanced to become an "Astrologer," his Warp imagery had quietly changed into a gate leading to the vast starry sky, rather than the stone mountain of the Santiago family.

Stepping through it was like walking through the void, and he stood upon a "star."

Santiago glanced at the teleportation coordinates of the Hrud Migration Ship on the video screen above him, then raised his psyker-crystal staff and ascended into Magnus's eighth-layer Mindset.
