The Sisters of Silence not only suppressed the Thousand Sons' use of Psionic Energy, but also disrupted the Warp Gates. The Psychic Mist was dispersed, and the storm of illusions dissipated.
The wolves, no longer deceived by phantoms, began a frenzied charge, and the battle line was breached across the board.
"Phil—he's lost control—" A Thought Impulse shot into their minds.
Hathor and Phosis T'kar exchanged glances and immediately understood each other's thoughts.
They ran outside at once.
The moment they emerged from the Pyramid of the Fire Phoenix, they saw the captain of the Seventh Fellowship floating in midair, looking down upon the battlefield.
Hissing blood streamed over the surface of his armor, while whip-like arcs of Aether energy danced between his fingers.
Blazing light erupted from within him, like the core of a voidship's plasma reactor.
Toron swept his gaze across the battlefield and saw the skulls hanging from the Space Wolves, along with the emblems of the Falcon Sect and the Seventh Fellowship.
He raised an arm, and more than a hundred Space Wolves were hurled away by Telekinesis. Their armor came apart piece by piece, and flesh peeled from bone.
Hathor saw Toron's armor heaving as fleshy tentacles burst out from within it.
"Phil, control yourself." He hurled a stream of bio-energy with all his strength.
"Father said that power can serve man only when restrained."
Toron's body shuddered. The
