After a long silence, Roland deliberately spoke with a hint of mockery.

"Matthias, you've got some nerve. The Autran Kingdom is stronger than your Storm Kingdom, isn't it?"

"Roland, without risk, where would profit come from?"

"Haha, well said. Risk and profit coexist. The rougher the waters, the pricier the fish."

Sensing Matthias's determination, Roland decisively stopped probing him.

The rougher the waters, the pricier the fish? What kind of nonsense was that? Matthias frowned, but hearing Roland laugh, he hurriedly asked,

"Roland, are you willing to accept the goodwill of our Storm Kingdom?"

"Not for now!"

Roland's smile vanished in an instant. He shook his head like a rattle drum, nearly making Matthias choke.

He had never expected Roland to refuse under the pressure of the four-nation coalition.

"Roland, do you know what it means to reject the friendship of our Storm Kingdom?" Matthias threatened unhappily.

Roland lightly waved a hand. Now that he understood Matthias's true intentions, how could Roland let himself be led around by the nose?

"Matthias, whether it's a four-nation alliance or a five-nation alliance makes little difference to me. I can't defeat either one. In the end, I'll still need to seek aid from the Arcane Empire and the dragons."
