The Five Nations Alliance Is Formed

Late February.

The postwar deployment conference, which had lasted nearly ten days, was drawing to a close.

In addition to resolving the distribution of postwar benefits and redefining the status of each nation, the conference explicitly stipulated that the human nations must continue suppressing and weakening the various major nonhuman races on Saint Nor Continent.

Not much turmoil arose during the several meetings, but beneath the calm surface, a subtle change had taken place.

That was, Arcane, the Holy Alliance, and the newly established Holy Light Empire had seen their influence weakened.

During this conference, the Three Great Empires jointly proposed that, in response to the strong south and weak north among the continent's nonhuman races, the nations of the continent should contribute troops to form an elite mega-legion a million strong and deploy it near the Elf Empire and Dwarf Kingdom.

However, the proposal was jointly rejected by the various nations. Arcane and the Holy Alliance then put forward several more proposals, but nearly all were defeated. Not a single one passed.

Instead, the Northern Kingdom rose unexpectedly, proposing the formation of a strategic alliance among the human kingdoms of the western continent to jointly confront the threat posed by nonhuman races. It gained the support of more than half the kingdoms and delegates.

Unfortunately, the Three Great Empires forcibly vetoed it on the grounds that its nature conflicted with that of the Human Alliance.

Although the Northern Kingdom did not express strong dissatisfaction after the meeting, the prestige of the Three Great Empires quietly diminished greatly in the hearts of countless forces.

With the suppression of the Three Great Empires gone, a restless atmosphere clearly emerged among humanity. The ambitions that all sides had long suppressed gradually began to revive.
