Over these thirty years, war never ceased and natural disasters struck repeatedly. More than half the population of every race across the Saint Nor Continent was lost.
The old human Holy Light Empire declined, and the Church of Dawn lost its former position of dominance. Of the human race's former Twelve Kingdoms, only the Kailan Kingdom, tucked away in one corner of the continent, remained barely alive. The duchies had nearly been wiped out.
Yet humanity did not sink into decline. Instead, its position as the continent's dominant race grew ever more stable.
The Arcane Empire and the Sacred Alliance Empire, which had swept across the continent, officially became the main players on the continent, commanding vast territories and standing at the height of their power.
Though the Black Nord Sereis United Empire occupied only one corner of the continent, it was immensely powerful and deeply established, already showing signs of unifying the western continent.
The Sacred Co-Prosperity Kingdom in the north had carved its way forward, defeating the strong while weak, overcoming the Beastkin Empire, and subduing the three great Orc royal families. Its imperial foundation had been laid, and its edge was fully revealed.
In comparison, the other races were beginning to show signs of decline.
The Elf Empire appeared strong on the outside but weak within. Its steadily falling population had greatly diminished its potential for war, and it gradually lost its chance to contend for dominance over the continent.
The Beastkin Empire had sunk into a quagmire. Having lost the Naga and Foxkin Tribe, its two great priestly races, as well as the tens of millions of acres of fertile land on the Northern Great Plains, it was almost impossible for it
