Tong Hu and the Bronze Saints arrived to defend Sanctuary as the Fire Clock was lit, while Hawking offered the resurrected Gold Saints a deal in Ancestor Space. The Saints doubted his claim that he could free and resurrect them, leaving the bargain unresolved.

• Specters emerged at Sanctuary and threatened to take Athena's head, but Tong Hu arrived after lighting the Fire Clock.
• Hyoga, Shiryu, and Ikki joined Seiya, who explained that his Cloth would not return for another twenty minutes.
• Shion and five other Gold Saints found themselves in Ancestor Space and tried to return to Sanctuary.
• Hawking told the Gold Saints he knew they had not betrayed Athena and that they intended to reveal how to unlock the Cloths.
• Hawking offered to resurrect them and free them from Hades's control in exchange for learning each of their ultimate Moves.
• Shion and the others questioned whether Hawking could truly resurrect them, since they believed only Hades had that power.

Hawking revived Shion and five other Gold Saints, freeing them from Hades’ control and earning their promise to teach him their techniques. When they returned to the Sanctuary, Hades awakened early in Shun’s body and confronted them.

• Shion and the other five agreed to teach Hawking their moves if he revived them, and Hawking used Rinne Rebirth to restore all six Gold Saints to life.
• Hawking brought the revived Saints back to the Aries Palace, where Dohko, Mu, and the Bronze Five learned what had happened.
• Hades awakened in Shun’s body, sent Ikki, Seiya, and the other Bronze Saints flying, and threatened the Saints who had defied him.
• Dohko and Shion recognized Hades, while Hawking warned everyone that Shun was no longer in control and prepared to face the god.

Hades awakened inside Shun and overwhelmed the Saints as they fought to stop him. Hawking used Saga’s brief mind-control to apply a sealing array, but Hades began breaking free.

• The Gold Saints summoned their Cloths and attacked Hades, but he reflected their strikes and sent several of them flying.
• Dohko regained his eighteen-year-old form and donned the Libra Gold Cloth, while Mu sent his Aries Cloth to Shion and Athena headed toward the Twelve Gold Palaces with Kanon.
• Hades unleashed Death Space, but Shion and Dohko combined their attacks to break through it.
• Saga struck Hades with Galaxian Explosion, briefly controlling him, but Hades quickly recovered and prepared to attack Saga.
• Hawking clashed with Hades using a Super Kamehameha and asked Saga to strike again, giving him time to cast the God Sealing Array on Shun.
• Hades broke free of Saga’s control and began destabilizing the God Sealing Array.

As Athena’s Sanctuary Barrier weakened Hades’ hold over Shun, she used her divine blood to drive Hades’ soul from his body. Hades then tried to seize Athena, but Hawking trapped his soul with the Evil Containment Wave and pulled it toward his talisman-covered Vibranium Rice Cooker.

• Athena raised her scepter and spread the Sanctuary Barrier across the Sanctuary, weakening Hades’ struggle inside Shun.
• Hawking explained that Hades had to be forced out of Shun’s body to save him, while Ikki, Seiya, and the others gathered around Shun.
• Athena cut her palm with the Victory Goddess Staff and pressed her divine blood to Shun’s forehead, reigniting his Cosmo and turning his hair green.
• Hades’ soul broke free of Hawking’s God Extinguishing Formation and flew from Shun’s body, then swept toward Athena to take her to Elysium.
• Hawking opened a talisman-covered Vibranium Rice Cooker and used the Evil Containment Wave to drag Hades’ soul toward it.

Hawking nearly sealed Hades’s soul, but Hypnos and Thanatos descended in their true bodies and interrupted him. After the Gold Saints stopped Thanatos’s attack on the Sanctuary, the three gods withdrew to Elysium, with Hades promising to return and end the Holy War.

• Hawking transformed into a Great Ape and used Infinite Tsukuyomi to overpower Hades’s resistance as the Evil Containment Wave pulled him toward the Rice Cooker.
• Hypnos and Thanatos appeared above the Sanctuary and struck Hawking with mental attacks, forcing him to stop sealing Hades.
• Thanatos launched Black Hole at the Sanctuary, but Shaka’s Tenma Kofuku and the combined attacks of Aiolia, Aldebaran, Milo, and Kanon neutralized it.

Hawking unleashed a devastating attack that injured Hypnos and Reaper and forced Hades and the Twin Gods to retreat from the Sanctuary. After they escaped, Hawking explained why he could not pursue them, while Hades threatened to return with the Great Eclipse.

• Dohko and Shion urged restraint, but Hawking opened all Eight Gates and fired a powerful mouth blast at Hades, Hypnos, and Reaper.
• Hades and the Twin Gods defended themselves with divine shields, but the blast injured both Twin Gods and awakened Athena’s power.
• Hypnos led Reaper and Hades out of the Sanctuary, while Hades threatened to return in his true body and cast the Great Eclipse over humanity.

After helping Athena drive off Hades and the Twin Gods, Hawking returned to the Marvel World and estimated the gods’ strength. He then entered the Bleach World, where Kisuke Urahara told him the Soul Society had confirmed Yhwach’s hidden Quincy forces and wanted to meet him.

• Hawking decided Athena’s approach to humanity suited him better than Hades’s and was sent back to the Marvel World after the battle.
• Hawking assessed the strength of Hades and the Twin Gods, then used Ichigo Kurosaki’s template to enter the Bleach World.

• Kisuke Urahara opened a passage to the Soul Society, where Hawking observed its divided society and the authority held by Central 46 and the noble clans.
• Kyoraku Shunsui and Ukitake Jushiro welcomed Hawking and escorted him toward Yamamoto Genryusai Shigekuni.
• Hawking sensed the Spirit King Power within Ukitake Jushiro and offered to heal his frail body if Ukitake gave him that power.
• Hawking used Shunpo to reach Yamamoto directly and learned that Central 46 had rejected his conditions, judging his research into Spirit King Power too dangerous.

Hawking rejected Yamamoto’s offer of a reward in place of their earlier deal, then sparred with him and revealed the speed of his Pegasus Meteor Fist. As Yamamoto prepared to fight with his Shikai, Hawking transported them and the witnesses to the Ancestor Space so they could continue without damaging Soul Society.

• Yamamoto offered Hawking permission to study Kido at the Shinigami Academy instead of accepting his proposed deal, and Hawking agreed.
• Hawking told Yamamoto that Soul Society would eventually need his help against Yhwach, but Yamamoto insisted he could defeat Yhwach himself.

• Hawking warned Kyoraku Shunsui that Yhwach surpassed the Captain Commander and that attacking the Wandenreich could wipe out Soul Society's Reapers.
• Kyoraku Shunsui agreed to tell the Captain Commander and said the Technology Development Bureau could create a portal to Reishi Space within a week.
• Hawking returned to the Dragon Ball World and continued training Goku, who had reached nearly one million Combat Power.
• Goku gave Hawking the two Senzu Beans Korin had left, and Hawking planned to use one as a sample to create more.

Mr. Hawking offered to stop Hades's Eclipse Plan by moving the planets blocking the sun, in exchange for the surviving Gold Saints' ultimate techniques and a Gold Cloth. The Saints considered how to face Hades, and Mr. Hawking prepared to help protect humanity from the eclipse.

• Mr. Hawking taught Goku eighteen positions, and Goku took Chi-Chi into the house to try them.
• Mr. Hawking returned to the Fairy Tail World to study Fairy Glitter with Makarov, then resumed his gravity training.
• Athena convened the Saints to discuss the Holy War, and Shion argued that she should not enter the Underworld.
• Athena insisted that they had to prevent Hades's Eclipse Plan from killing ordinary people.

Mr. Hawking negotiated with Athena for the Ophiuchus Gold Cloth and resurrected Aiolos to strengthen the Saints for their war against Hades. Shion revealed the Cloth’s history, and Athena ordered him to take Mr. Hawking to retrieve it.

• Athena accepted Mr. Hawking’s terms and summoned the Sagittarius Gold Cloth, but he said it was not the one he wanted.
• Mr. Hawking used Rinne Rebirth to resurrect Aiolos, whose soul had remained within the Sagittarius Gold Cloth.

Athena bestowed the Ophiuchus Gold Cloth on Hawking, and he went into space to push the moon away and stop Hades's Eternal Eclipse. Hades, Athena, the Saints, and the Specters struggled over the moon's orbit, and Hawking ended the chapter by casting Infinite Tsukuyomi through the moon.

• Athena recognized Hawking as the Ophiuchus Gold Saint, and the Ophiuchus Gold Cloth transformed his Cosmo and gave him Asclepius's techniques.
• Hawking flew into space and used a Kamehameha to push the moon off its orbit before the Planetary Alignment.

• Hawking arrived at the Alvarez royal palace and demanded to see Zeref.
• Serena attacked Hawking, who defeated him with the Lushan Hundred Dragons Overlord and learned from his memories that Zeref was away.
• August, Irene, and the other Spriggan 12 attacked Hawking, but he knocked them all unconscious with the Light Speed Fist.
• Hawking took August and Irene with him, read their memories about magic, and enchanted an owl to fly faster.
• Hawking followed the owl to an uninhabited island, where he found Zeref sunbathing on a mountaintop.

Hawking found Zeref, sealed him along with August and Irene, and brought them to Fairy Tail, where he explained his plans to lift the curses on Zeref and Mavis in exchange for their magical memories and the Fairy Heart. Before his time ran out, he sent Natsu and Lucy to find Anna Heartfilia and learn the Time Rift’s location, leaving Hawking to return the next day and pursue his plan.

• Hawking found Zeref, offered to lift his curse in exchange for his memories and magical knowledge, then knocked him unconscious and sealed him after Zeref attacked.

After the Grand Elder unlocked Hawking’s potential, his ki Combat Power rose to fifty million, and Frieza’s fleet detected the surge and changed course toward Namek. Hawking sensed Frieza approaching and decided to stay so Goku could train and he could face the new arrival.

• The Grand Elder’s potential unlocking increased Hawking’s ki Combat Power twenty-fivefold, to fifty million.
• Frieza learned that a nearby detector had registered a Combat Power above six hundred thousand and ordered his fleet to investigate Namek.
• Frieza killed a soldier who entered without knocking, then the fleet turned toward Namek.
• Hawking thanked the Grand Elder, conjured food for Goku, and planned to return to the Marvel Universe.
• Hawking sensed Frieza’s fleet approaching and decided to stay on Namek so Goku could train further.

Hawking brought Goku and Frieza’s army into the Ancestor Space, then sent Frieza’s troops into a gravity chamber while Goku faced Frieza. Hawking raised the gravity to one hundred times normal, but Guldo froze time and was caught when Hawking grabbed him by the neck.

• The Grand Elder sensed Frieza’s army arriving, and Hawking reassured him before asking Goku to fight Frieza.

After Frieza overwhelmed him with his full power, Hawking healed and used Flying Thunder God Marks to strike from unpredictable positions, prompting Frieza to prepare an attack that would destroy the entire space.

• Hawking left Goku under Infinite Tsukuyomi and challenged Frieza, who transformed into his final form and raised his Combat Power to sixty million.
