Background / History
Before its takeover, Myriad Worlds City had obtained a damaged core fragment from a Thirtieth Order Supreme Treasure. The fragment granted it nine Origin Great Daos, but their origins slowly drained away. To preserve itself, the City abandoned seven Great Daos and used their remaining origin to sustain Time and Space. Its inability to fully digest the fragment left its Space-Time Great Dao unstable and drove it to indiscriminately seize world origins. 119
Under its original City Lord, Qin Feng, the City had been open for less than a century. It accepted anyone carrying a purchasable Trading Token, rapidly gathering visitors and world coordinates but attracting mostly low-level beings from Small Thousand Worlds. Its principal building was the thirty-six-floor Yuntian Pavilion, though only nine floors were open and its highest available goods were Ninth Order. 101 102 104 110
Bai Yu recognized that the City’s open-access model could gather world coordinates much faster than the Myriad Worlds Chat Group. After forcing the Chat Group into conflict with the City, the Chat Group overcame its unstable Great Dao foundation, seized its origins and permissions, annihilated Qin Feng, and appointed Bai Yu as City Lord. 110 114
Bai Yu demolished Qin Feng’s uniform commercial layout, restored the walls and gates, established new rules, and rebuilt the City around the Limitless Pavilion. Shi Yaoyao designed much of the landscaping, while Chat Group members received core-area plots for their own pavilions and shops. The rebuilt City later reopened with a new token system, digitized administration, and a redesigned trading structure. 115 118 120 121 128
Layout
City Walls and Gates
The City retains an ancient, weathered architectural style, with bluestone paving throughout its rebuilt interior. Its towering walls and four gates are intended to project authority over incoming visitors. 118
- Azure Dragon Gate — eastern gate, marked by an Azure Dragon stone carving. 101 118
- White Tiger Gate — western gate. 118
- Vermilion Bird Gate — southern gate. 118
- Black Tortoise Gate — northern gate. 118
- The Four Sacred Beast carvings emit pressure comparable to a Thirteenth Order Grand Unity Golden Immortal, warning entrants against disorder. 118 183
Four Great Domains
| Domain | Access and purpose |
|---|---|
| Core Area | Surrounds the Limitless Pavilion and is reserved for Bai Yu and Myriad Worlds Chat Group members, who may receive land to build their own pavilions. 119 122 |
| Saint Domain | One of the three cultivation-based districts outside the core area. 119 |
| Immortal Domain | Commercial district for higher-level cultivators; shop owners are at least Thirteenth Order. 312 |
| Mortal Domain | District for lower-level visitors; the first reopening’s ordinary entrants were generally only qualified to purchase land here. 130 430 |
Limitless Pavilion
The nine-floor Limitless Pavilion replaced Yuntian Pavilion as the City’s central landmark. It is the tallest and largest building externally, though every structure in Myriad Worlds City possesses effectively infinite internal space through the Space-Time Great Dao. 118 120
- It was built to preserve prestige rather than monopolize all trade. 119
- Its public inventory was initially limited to Sixteenth Order items. 119 126
- The ninth floor is reserved as Bai Yu’s private living space and is not open to the public. 123
- A Law Dao Body of Bai Yu remains stationed there to manage the City when Bai Yu is absent. 123 500
- A special warning treasure on its top floor is linked to Myriad Worlds Tokens and detects abnormalities in token holders’ worlds. 332
Abilities & Functions
Space-Time Great Dao
The City’s defining power governs its internal scale, visitor separation, entry control, and defenses.
- Visitors who appear adjacent may actually originate from different eras, parallel spaces, or time dimensions. 101
- Shops and buildings can contain infinite internal space despite limited external plots. 120 131
- The City can expand without running out of space and prevents congestion from unrestricted token circulation. 101
- Before the takeover, intruders without Trading Tokens could be instantly suppressed and annihilated. 101
- The City’s power can suppress unauthorized systems and other powers within its territory. 341
Great Dao Defense
Myriad Worlds City automatically defends itself against external intrusions through its Great Dao foundation.
- Zeus’s Lightning Great Dao assault failed to breach the City’s Space-Time Great Dao defenses. 219 226
- A System that traced Shi Yaoyao through karma and destiny was suppressed and annihilated. 331
- The City protects token holders under its rules, but undocumented entities are not granted the same protection. 341
- Its defenses are formidable against powers below the Great Dao level, but the City’s original Space-Time foundation was vulnerable to the stronger Myriad Worlds Chat Group. 357 495
Myriad Worlds Token Network
The Myriad Worlds Token replaced the original Trading Token after Bai Yu’s takeover.
- Tokens permit travel between a holder’s home world and Myriad Worlds City. 120 309
- Each token displays its owner’s basic information and is bound to a life form permanently. 120 121
- Land, shops, and all City currency transactions are bound to the holder’s token; each individual may bind only one token and open one shop. 131
- Tokens are distributed randomly among eligible worlds and are not influenced by the Destiny of Small or Middle Thousand Worlds. 429
- Each journey through a token passively scans the holder’s entire world for Transmigrators and abnormal Systems. 332 529
Automated Administration
The rebuilt City is digitized and intelligentized, allowing it to operate without constant supervision. 121
- The Space-Time Great Dao continuously monitors the City’s rules. 121
- Transactions conducted through Myriad Worlds Tokens are protected and legally recognized by the City. 312
- Private contracts and investments outside the token system are not guaranteed by the City. 312
- The City does not set commodity prices, but it collects transaction commissions. 147 312
- It contains no natural Spiritual Energy, Demonic Qi, or comparable cultivation energy; visitors cannot cultivate there without creating an artificial environment. 123 331
Economy & Services
Currency System
| Currency | Use |
|---|---|
| Spirit Stones | Base transaction currency for common goods and services. 120 312 |
| Immortal Spirit Stones | Higher base currency, though insufficient for the rarest resources. 120 345 |
| Saint Spirit Stones | Highest City currency; required for Thirteenth Order resources and useful for comprehending Origin Laws. They are exchanged through World Origin. 429 489 |
Bai Yu controls the World Origin–Saint Spirit Stone exchange rate, allowing the City to acquire World Origin while maintaining the appearance of an advantageous trade for participants. 489 496
World Tokens
World Tokens are sold through the Limitless Pavilion and permit travel to designated worlds through the City’s routes.
- The initial public offering opened access to thirteen worlds: ten Small Thousand Worlds and three Middle Thousand Worlds. 126
- World Tokens are distinct from Myriad Worlds Tokens and are presented as a benefit available through the City’s commerce. 126 309
Myriad Worlds Auction House
| Auction scale | Schedule | Eligibility | Item range |
|---|---|---|---|
| Small-scale | Every 10 years | No restriction | First to Eighth Order 489 |
| Medium-scale | Every 100 years | No restriction | Ninth to Twelfth Order 489 |
| Large-scale | Every 10,000 years | Thirteenth Order and above | Thirteenth to Sixteenth Order 489 |
The auction system previously included Yellow, Mysterious, Earth, and Heaven tiers, with the Heaven Tier reserved for Thirteenth Order powerhouses and exceptionally rare treasures. 328
Myriad Worlds Investment Stock Company
The Myriad Worlds Investment Stock Company operates from the first floor of Yaohua Pavilion and monopolizes angel investment and lending in the City. All Chat Group members are shareholders, while a Shareholder Committee and Board of Directors oversee the business. 311 500
- Its loans and investments provide low-level visitors with capital to develop resources in their home worlds. 310
- Its contracts are not protected by Myriad Worlds City unless conducted through the Myriad Worlds Token system. 312
- Its core-area location grants it public trust and has drawn a major share of the City’s lending market. 500
Administration
| Position | Holder | Authority |
|---|---|---|
| City Lord | Bai Yu | Received all City permissions after the takeover; sets rules, controls the currency system, and can mobilize Great Dao power. 114 115 226 |
| Vice City Lord | Shi Yaoyao | Handles routine administration and was delegated most management permissions. 121 201 |
| Former City Lord | Qin Feng | Used Yuntian Pavilion and the native currency system for personal monopoly; annihilated during the Chat Group’s takeover. 106 114 |
| Chat Group members | Various | Manage minor matters, operate core-area shops, host auctions, and participate in the City’s commercial development. 121 328 |
Bai Yu later delegated nearly all management authority to Shi Yaoyao. The Myriad Worlds Chat Group intervened to restrict her ability to mobilize the City’s Great Dao power, limiting that authority to defensive situations where the City is invaded or damaged. 494 495
