Background / History

Mortal Life and Transmigration

Before transmigrating, Bai Yu was an ordinary office worker and homebody who enjoyed novels. He spent nearly thirty years in his original Blue Star World before awakening in the newly created Primordial World as a Shore Flower. His Innate Inheritance identified the world and supplied his first cultivation scriptures 1 2 5 566.

His original foundation was only low-grade innate quality, far below that of beings such as the Three Pure Ones. Rather than explore immediately, he cultivated within the Innate Formation protecting his birthplace, relying on his system’s enlightenment assistance to overcome his limitations 2 3 163.

Return to Blue Star and the Chat Group

After becoming a Mysterious Immortal, Bai Yu discovered that the Myriad Worlds Gate had recorded his home world’s coordinates. His return nearly fractured its universe despite his efforts to restrain himself. He withdrew to the Primordial World and left a much weaker Law Dao Body behind 4.

More than ten million years had passed there: humanity had spread across the Milky Way, and Gene Potions could extend human life to a thousand years. Bai Yu intended his Dao Body to merge with the world as a Heavenly Dao-like guardian against outside invaders, rather than introduce a spiritual-energy revival 4 5.

He subsequently accepted a Myriad Worlds Chat Group invitation under the name Immortal. The invitation had originally been issued to someone else in a Small Thousand World; Bai Yu knowingly seized that opportunity. He initially obtained members’ world coordinates through red packets, using the Gate to reach worlds the Chat Group itself could not yet freely traverse 5 6 435.

Cooperation and Conflict with the Chat Group

Bai Yu negotiated directly with the Chat Group for Administrator authority and High-grade Currency Issuer status. Their agreement established Spirit Stones, Immortal Spirit Stones, and Saint Spirit Stones as currency tiers; he also created the Group Warehouse and Group Sign-in functions 26.

When Myriad Worlds Trading City suppressed his chat interface, Bai Yu pushed the Chat Group into confronting it. He acted as its strategist during the clash while leaving the actual Great Dao confrontation to the Chat Group. Its public mission announcement portrayed the Trading City as the invader, although Bai Yu recognized that the Chat Group had initiated the attack 109 110 112 113.

The partnership remained mutually profitable but distrustful. Unknown to Bai Yu, the Chat Group had tried to expel him when he joined, only to experience an inexplicable threat of death. Bai Yu interpreted its subsequent distance as aloofness rather than fear 122 431 435.

Great Thousand Worlds and Penglai

To obtain World Origin for his cultivation, Bai Yu targeted an elementary Great Thousand World rather than immediately exhaust more than a thousand smaller worlds. He used Myriad Worlds City’s power in the campaign and became the Heavenly Dao of the Limitless World 215 223 225.

After searching the Eastern Sea for more than a thousand years, he eventually established himself on Penglai Immortal Island. His accumulated spiritual roots became so numerous that the island had little planting space left 263 290 348.

Once the Mysterious Bright Treasure Bead became an Innate Supreme Treasure, Bai Yu openly entered Cloud Cliff World. He suppressed its three Great Daos, erased its Heavenly Dao, and installed an incomplete Great Dao Dharma Body to govern its laws. He continued its Golden Age plan to mature a nascent Fire Dao into an Innate Supreme Treasure, knowing this would consume the world’s foundations 320 323.

Primordial World and Successive Dao Attainments

At Buzhou Mountain, Pangu’s aura suppressed even Bai Yu’s Space Great Dao. He climbed using physical strength alone, tempering his body and primordial spirit for a yuanhui before reaching his limit at the mountainside 348.

Bai Yu later exchanged Space Great Dao insights with Yang Mei for a hundred yuanhui. Their discussion manifested the Primordial World’s Space Great Dao origin and attracted the Heavenly Dao’s gaze, which both ultimately ignored 469.

His dealings with the Primordial Heavenly Dao developed into direct negotiation. He offered Water Dao Origin in exchange for access to the Three Thousand Great Dao Principles associated with the Jade Plate of Creation, preferring a beneficial trade to unnecessary conflict 513.

Although his successive Dao attainments altered the Primordial World’s atmosphere and spurred Hongjun and Yang Mei to cultivate harder, Bai Yu remained focused on his own freedom. Even after mastering several complete Great Daos, he refused to visit Origin Blue Star because he considered it too dangerous 680 702 739.

Bai Yu’s central ambition is freedom through cultivation. His goals grow from securing a place among the Purple Cloud Palace’s future guests to mastering the Three Thousand Great Daos and ultimately achieving transcendence. Romance and ordinary pleasures hold little appeal compared with that pursuit 55 347 566.

He is cautious when outmatched but aggressive when confident. He prepares escape routes, avoids unnecessary karmic entanglements, and readily uses stronger powers as shields. Conversely, he sees no reason to remain hidden when he believes victory is assured 110 273 320 360.

He does not consider himself kind. Profit can lead him to act against those who have not harmed him, and he has destroyed worlds to strengthen himself. His assistance to the Chat Group benefits its members enormously, but he regards those benefits as the by-product of exchanges from which he gains much more 360 505 670.

His cold disposition and overwhelming status prevent easy friendships. He has no confidants, but does not experience this as loneliness. His short mortal life nevertheless remains deeply important to him, helping explain his continued care for familiar figures in the Chat Group 634 680.

Bai Yu is grateful for his system despite not knowing its origin or intentions. Even if it eventually proves dangerous, he considers the worlds and possibilities it has opened to him worth the risk 2 225 566.
