"Fucking Sixth Street Gang, XXXXXX!"

After delivering a barrage of insults, dripping with maternal references, into the comm, Devil hung up.

As a low-level executive in Maelstrom, Devil hadn't been this volatile in a long time, but she couldn't help but be angry about this.

Yesterday, her younger brother died in Watson District, their territory. He was shot in the head in broad daylight by some Sixth Street Gang punks. Even the mass of cybernetics installed in his face couldn't save him. The bullet precisely bypassed the cybernetics on his face, entering his head through the weakest point connecting the cybernetics on the back of his head and his cheeks. One shot blew his head apart, neatly splitting his face into two halves. By the time the NCPD reluctantly notified the family, someone had already scavenged the cybernetics from the back of his head. She fucking wanted to get back at least a picture where she could still recognize her brother's face.

Anyone who goes by the name Devil isn't exactly known for their good temper. Just as she was about to call her goons to make trouble for those Sixth Street Gang bastards, she got a call from upstairs, telling her to control herself for the next few days and not go causing trouble.

Control myself? Don't cause trouble?

As if it wasn't their brother who died, they could just spout nonsense. If their brother died, would they tell me to control myself?

She was set on getting revenge. She had already received the intel. Only one member of the Sixth Street Gang survived, someone named Oliver. Apparently, he had even been kicked out of the Sixth Street Gang. She was going to take his life today.

"I told you not to run around. You should have just stayed with me. You had to go prove yourself. Now look at you, proving jack shit. I don't even know where to put half your face."

Devil and her brother lost their father when they were young. Their mother raised them for a few years before passing away from working in a factory. For years, they had relied on each other to grow up. Devil was lucky enough to be appreciated by Brick early on and joined Maelstrom. Although she ended up with a bunch of cybernetic eyes on her face, she was able to support both of them. After a few years, she even became a mid-level executive in the gang. She thought she was finally heading towards an easy life, but who knew this accident would happen?

Devil didn't want her brother to join Maelstrom. She wanted him to study and live a more normal life, but he insisted on helping out and joining the gang. Devil couldn't dissuade him, so she let him join. Then, not wanting to be seen as relying on his sister, he gathered a group of people in the gang to work with. It was going well, but who knew this would happen? She should have never let him leave her side.

All the regret and annoyance were useless now. All Devil wanted now was to vent. She'd deal with the future later. He was her only family, and now he was gone. Even if she went crazy and became a cyberpsycho, she would send that Sixth Street Gang bastard down to accompany her brother in death.

Just as Devil was about to call her goons, the door to her room was suddenly pushed open, and a goon rushed in with a panicked expression.

Normally, no one would dare disturb her when she was in a bad mood, but this situation was beyond Devil's tolerance.

"Boss, three people have broken in! We can't hold them off!"

"Three people?"

Devil was confused by her goon's words.

There were over twenty people in this factory. Just three people, and they couldn't hold them off?

"Which bastard has a death wish? I'm already pissed off."

She grabbed the Crusher Kinetic Shotgun, produced by Militech, from beside her with one hand. Devil felt that those three had come at just the right time.

After she blasted them into pieces with bullets, she could use that momentum to go make trouble for the Sixth Street Gang.

However, Devil wasn't reckless enough to just grab a gun and go out to face the three intruders. She told the anxious goon to notify the others that she would be there soon, and then Devil walked to the monitoring station, looking at the screens she had ignored earlier because of the call.

And if she hadn't looked, it would have been better. As soon as she looked, Devil's gaze was firmly drawn to one of the monitoring screens.

The screen showed a young man with blond hair and a small mustache.

This guy, this guy!

The six cybernetic eyes on Devil's face flickered constantly due to her emotional excitement. Devil recognized this guy. She couldn't be wrong!

She had studied this guy's information and photos all night last night. This guy was Oliver, the only surviving killer from the Sixth Street Gang yesterday!

Unexpectedly, he came to her before she could go to him. Well, that saves her the trouble of going to him.

Without bothering to look at the other monitoring screens, after confirming Oliver's location, Devil rushed out of the door, heading straight for Oliver's location.

She wanted him dead!

Completely unaware that he was being targeted, Oliver was currently ducking his head, occasionally poking out a bit, using the Copperhead to fire a shot at the Maelstrom members opposite him. The Maelstrom people in this factory were too strong, completely different from the Maelstrom he had encountered on the street before. In the almost constant barrage of gunfire, he couldn't find many opportunities to unleash bullets at the other side.

"KK, think of something! If this keeps up, and they get close enough to throw grenades, we're going to be eating 'dumplings'!"

He shouted to Karl on the other side. He shouldn't have listened to Karl's suggestion to just charge in. How could they charge in head-on? This was the enemy's territory. They had everything they needed.

"Relax."

Since Karl had prepared to charge in, he naturally wouldn't have come unprepared. Otherwise, he would be playing with their lives. He had already prepared for possible difficulties.

"I've already determined the relevant data for the Copperhead."

After firing four shots, Karl had completely mastered the Copperhead. Next, all he needed was...

"Jack, create an opportunity for me!"

"Leave it to me."

Hearing Karl's words, Jack unhesitatingly made a move that neither Karl nor Oliver had expected. He actually rushed out of the cover on Karl's side, pouncing towards Oliver's cover.

"Using your body as bait? Are you crazy!"

Oliver watched as the Maelstrom members instantly turned their guns, bullets flying past Jack. Although Jack's pounce was only for a moment, two bullets still pierced Jack's arm and thigh.

"Karl, now's your chance!"

"You're a madman, Jack!"

Karl stood up from behind cover, holding the Copperhead. Its muzzle was already aimed at the Maelstrom members who had just shifted their guns.

"Seven people, fourteen bullets are more than enough."
