"How does it feel?"
Hearing Old Vic's voice, Carl looked at her reflection in the mirror and tried tugging at her face.
"Nothing feels wrong. It feels pretty much like my original face. It just looks a little unfamiliar."
The person in the mirror was a black-haired young man. In terms of appearance, he only bore a thirty percent resemblance to the old Carl. Overall, he looked more like—
"Old Vic, why does Carl's current appearance look so much like yours?"
Jack looked at Carl's new face, then at Old Vic. "Carl looks like your nephew."
"Hm?"
Hearing Jack say that, Carl examined herself carefully and realized that the face template she had chosen really did look a lot like Old Vic.
"When building face models, I needed some basis to work from. The four faces I made were all modified based on the four of you and me. I thought you'd choose the one that looked more like your own face, Carl. Who would've thought that after all that choosing, you'd end up picking my face template?"
From Old Vic's voice, she seemed quite surprised by Carl's choice as well.
"If it looked too much like me, there'd be no point in going undercover. Still, looking like your nephew is better than looking like Oliver or Jack's little brother."
Rubbing her altered face, Carl got up from the operating table.
