The guards' hoarse, panicked shouts rang out in the darkness, but even more orders were swallowed by the sudden chaos.

After Carl cut the power, Oliver did not hesitate for even a moment.

His cybernetic eye swiftly switched modes, and the world before him was immediately redrawn in blocks of temperature—orange-red human silhouettes moved in panic against an icy blue-gray backdrop, as conspicuous as torches in the night.

He moved.

His body melted into the darkness. The first guard to notice something was wrong had just raised his weapon when an almost imperceptible whistle of air swept past his neck.
