A Few Notes

I realized that many readers never noticed the notes I left at the end of chapters, so I thought it would be better to make a separate post to explain a few things.

1. About updates

I'm currently updating twice a day, with a minimum of a little over four thousand words. Sometimes I don't have the energy to break things up, so I just make it one chapter.

I'm still sick. It's been a week, and my antigen test is still positive. I hide in my room every day and don't dare go out, because I'm afraid of infecting my family.

I still don't feel very well. I get tired very easily, and sometimes I feel dizzy. I spend most of the day sleeping, and even when I drag myself up, I just sit groggily in front of the computer, unable to write a word.

I don't get many chances to write when I'm feeling good.

I hope you'll understand. I'll do my best to make up extra updates once I've fully recovered. At the very least, I'll go back to three updates a day, with seven or eight thousand words in total.

Those of you who've followed this story from the start can see that I'm a very diligent author, right? Before I got sick, I was consistently ranked among the top sixty-something authors on Qidian's update charts, after all.

2. About the story's progress

I saw some readers in the group saying that the story had strayed from the main plot for too long, or that they had other concerns. In the end, it's simply because I got sick.

Otherwise, at a pace of three updates a day, the story's progress wouldn't give people that impression.
