Meng Li reunited with Gu Yuena, then joined Tang Wulin in trying to prevent war while confronting the Holy Spirit Cult. After the cult claimed responsibility for the Eastsea Fleet attack, the Federation declared war, and Meng Li’s group reached the Dou Ling Empire.

• Meng Li bought Gu Yuena the Heart of Eternity, but she later left him a promise to return before reappearing at an auction beside Qiangu Zhangting and denying she knew him.
• Meng Li outbid Qian Gu Dongfeng for the Heart of the Ice God, then escaped an attack by Leng Yulai with Ya Li and agreed to help Tang Wulin stop the war.
• Gu Yuena explained her actions to Meng Li, and they reunited before she left again after sharing a final day with him.
• Tang Wulin and Meng Li investigated an attack on Heaven Dou Sea City, then warned Chen Xinjie that the Holy Spirit Cult and Abyss Plane were trying to provoke a war.

Meng Li helped Tang Wulin rescue his parents, destroyed the Spirit Pagoda branch, and made peace with the Dou Ling Empire. He then traveled with Gu Yuena and Ya Li toward the Star Luo Empire, where Na Nali rejoined him.

• Meng Li arrived in the Dou Ling Empire with Tang Wulin and met Li Yunzhe, then agreed to help search Spirit Pagoda for Tang Wulin’s parents.
• Meng Li and Tang Wulin found Tang Ziran and Lang Yue at the secret research institute, and Meng Li defeated the Evil Soul Masters and destroyed the Spirit Pagoda branch.
• Gu Yuena helped Meng Li overcome the Golden Dragon King’s killing urge, and Meng Li and Ya Li later weakened the Blood Demon Curse Kill and saved Tang Wulin’s parents.
• Meng Li and Gu Yuena grew closer during outings in Lingbo City, and Meng Li declared her his wife when he met Emperor Xue Yuntian.
• Meng Li agreed to cooperate with the Dou Ling Empire, then departed Lingbo City by ocean liner with Gu Yuena and Ya Li.

Meng Li traveled to the Star Luo Empire with Gu Yuena, Ya Li, and Na Nali, where he negotiated with the emperor and learned that the Holy Spirit Cult was hunting Na Nali. He accepted the Five Gods’ Duel and won its opening mecha battle, with the remaining contests still ahead.

• Meng Li brought Na Nali, Gu Yuena, and Ya Li to Star Luo City, where Na Nali subdued Dai Yueyan, Long Yue, and their companions after Long Yue wrecked his villa gate, and Meng Li collected compensation.
• Meng Li visited the Tang Sect, sparred with Hu Jie, and unleashed the Golden Dragon King’s power before Gu Yuena warned him to stop, and he later reunited with Gu Yuena and agreed to meet Dai Yueyan.
• Meng Li and Tang Wulin warned Dai Tianling about the Holy Spirit Cult and its alliance with the Spirit Pagoda, and Dai Tianling proposed the Five Gods’ Duel to decide whether the Tang Sect’s demands would be accepted.
• Meng Li captured two Holy Spirit Cult members who had followed him and Gu Yuena, then learned the cult was searching for Na Nali and that the Demon Empress could soon come after them.

Meng Li defeated Tong Yu, Chu Tiange, and En Ci in the Five Gods' Duel while uncovering more about his memories and the Angel God. After the Empire lost all five matches, Meng Li left a celebratory banquet under the influence of drugged water and asked Gu Yuena to marry him.

• Dai Yueyan hosted Meng Li and his companions, and after drinking with them, Meng Li relived memories of a ruined world and woke believing they might be real.
• Qian Gu Dongfeng ordered Gu Yuena to get close to Meng Li, but she secretly resolved to kill him if he threatened Meng Li.
• Meng Li defeated Tong Yu, then offered to save him as Tong Yu revealed his past and sought to atone for his actions.
• Meng Li beat Chu Tiange in the weapon match, then used God's Blessing to help Ya Li break through to the Limit Douluo realm.
• Meng Li defeated En Ci with the Angel Holy Sword after Qian Yuhan appeared and lent him her power, completing the Empire's loss of all five matches.
• Meng Li recovered and celebrated with Tang Wulin and the others, while Dai Yun'er gave him drugged water intended for Tang Wulin.
• The drug made Meng Li agitated, and after Gu Yuena embraced him at home, he asked her to marry him the next day.
