Meng Li fought the Holy Spirit Cult’s assault on Shrek City, but the Angel God’s power saved the city at the cost of his memories. As Gu Yue helped him recover, they began a life together, until a mysterious gate led Meng Li into a vision and left him waking beside someone who only looked like Gu Yue.

• Meng Li uncovered evidence of a Holy Spirit Cult plot, killed several Evil Soul Masters, and returned to Shrek City as the academy’s students gathered.
• Meng Li defeated Tang Wulin in a spar, then sensed danger as hooded figures prepared a ritual and Fixed Soul Tool Cannons attacked Shrek City.
• Meng Li and Gu Yue survived the bombardment when the Angel God empowered Meng Li to shield the city, while Yun Ming sacrificed himself to destroy the attackers’ skull.
• Meng Li and Gu Yue confessed their love and exchanged rings, but the Angel God’s final transaction erased Meng Li’s memories.

Meng Li enlisted in the Blood God Legion with Gu Yue and Na'er, proved his strength against Abyssal Creatures, and drew the attention of the legion’s leaders. During a Level Three Abyss Tide, his troubling violent urges resurfaced, but Gu Yue helped him kill a Black Empress Clan member.

• Meng Li completed the Angel Trial, reunited with Gu Yue, and accepted Leng Yaozhu’s offer to enlist in the Blood God Legion with Gu Yue and Na'er.
• Meng Li and his companions traveled to the legion, where he passed Long Yuxue’s assessment and began recruit training despite being fined for disrupting surveillance.
• Meng Li defeated Jiang Wuyue in a strength contest and a soul-skills match, then entered the Abyss with Long Yuxue and used Sword Absolute to kill waves of Abyssal Creatures.
• Meng Li earned enough military merits to repay his debt, but refused to leave the Special Affairs Department as Long Yuxue showed Long Tianwu evidence of his power.
• Meng Li helped Tang Wulin settle into the legion, while Na'er privately considered leaving him and asked him to spend time alone with her.
• Zhang Huanyun offered Meng Li leadership of the Special Affairs Department after learning his weapon stopped Abyssal Creatures’ energy from returning to the Abyss.
• During an Abyss Tide, Meng Li heard a command to kill, escaped the collapsing defenses with Long Yuxue, and returned to the front despite warnings to rest.
• Meng Li’s violent whispers made him hesitate against a Black Empress Clan member, but Gu Yue rescued him and helped him kill her with enhanced elemental attacks and the Mythical Spear.

Meng Li fought in the Blood God Legion, entered the Star Dou Battle Net tournament, and spent his leave with Gu Yue and Na'er. After becoming a Soul Douluo, he learned that Na'er was pregnant and that she and Gu Yue were parts of Gu Yuena, then chose to stay with both of them.

• Meng Li fought off the Abyssal Creatures, broke through to level seventy-eight, and later met the Blood Gods, who examined footage of his and Tang Wulin’s abilities.
• Meng Li visited Blazing Basin with Gu Yue, learned she would be away for about a year, and promised to contact her while she was gone.
• Meng Li entered the Star Dou Battle Net as Ares, defeated his early opponents, and advanced through the tournament while hiding his identity.
• Meng Li reached level seventy-nine, learned from Zhang Huanyun that he had been kept off duty to cultivate, and defeated Long Yuxue in the finals.
• Meng Li traveled to Shrek City with Na'er, reunited with Gu Yue, celebrated Spring Festival with her, and asked her to marry him, but she asked for time.
• Meng Li returned to the Blood God Legion, then agreed to join the Blood God Camp as an external member after he and Tang Wulin defeated Xue Jiu.
• During Meng Li’s breakthrough, the Angel God offered him God King power in exchange for sharing his body and warned that Na'er was dying and carrying his child.
• Meng Li became a Soul Douluo, and Na'er revealed that she was pregnant and that she and Gu Yue were parts of Gu Yuena, and Meng Li chose both of them and accepted responsibility for the child.

Meng Li lost Na’er, learned to stand beside Gu Yuena, and returned to Shrek City as the Spirit Pagoda’s attack devastated it. The arc left Meng Li and Gu Yuena safe outside the ruins while Shrek’s survivors began to regroup.

• Meng Li killed the Six-Clawed Demon Emperor and the Ant Emperor, but Na’er vanished after merging with Gu Yue, who became Gu Yuena.
• Meng Li left the Blood God Camp to seek a way to revive Na’er, and Gu Yuena revealed her identity before promising to stay with him.
• The Spirit Pagoda and Evil Soul Masters prepared attacks on Shrek City, while Meng Li warned Ya Li and traveled there with Gu Yuena.
• Light-Dark Douluo showed Shrek’s leaders evidence linking the Spirit Pagoda to the planned attacks, and Ya Li left with Meng Li despite warnings.
• Meng Li evacuated Gu Yuena, Ya Li, and Leng Yaozhu as Fixed Soul Tool Cannons destroyed Shrek City, shielding them when their aircraft was hit.
• Shrek’s survivors found the city in ruins, and Long Yeyue told Tang Wulin that the academy had survived and named him Inner Court dean.
• Meng Li and Gu Yuena spent time with Leng Yaozhu, who then returned to the Spirit Pagoda, and Gu Yuena publicly kissed Meng Li after claiming him as her boyfriend.
